How can you delete it and not lose everything?
Deleting then re-downloading profile worked for me as well...just now.
It gives you 2 choices, just the profile or profile, game saves and achievements.
It worked for me by signing in, signing out, going to the dashboard, reloading the game and then logging in. I'm guessing none of that actually helped directly, but I did end up being able to sign in. :D
I had the same sign in critical error last night and tried both Cloud and HD to save but neither worked (after many attempts over the course of three hours). Haven't tried the USB stick option yet though.
Deleting my profile scares me.

I have been having the same issues, just deleted my profile...seeing if this works.
I tried the profile method and it has in fact worked for me. This may be the one true method that works regularly. If anyone tried deleting their profile and it didn't work please post it here.
Now works perfectly and lag free. Are Trion aware of this?
Had been trying since yesterday and nothing worked. I deleted my profile and re-downloaded it, worked first try.
For me it's been just luck. I'll get in right away or end up having to just try over and over again, but once I get in there's no issues.
It s looking like the profile method is as sure a fix as we have found.

Clearing the system cache got me in.
i actually got in earlier today, and like a fool had to do something else and turned off my xbox, been about 3 hours now and can't get back in.
clearing cache didn't work for me, but deleting just profile and redownloading it worked for me first time. some weird issue with xbl and the game. back to playing again, yayyy!!! this is also my my xbl gamertag if anyone wants to join up.
I am having issues going into the game T.T i woke up really excited to keep on playing and then this happens...I havent played an MMO in so long, i love this game already...i want in! T.T
well ive been having the same issue the only thing that has worked for me so far is when you push the final a to start the loading screen i just hit the guide button while its on the black screen only hasnt worked once and then i tried it again right away and it worked again ive done this about 4 or 5 times now its worth a try atleast
Can anyone confirm that deleting the profile did not work? At least for the critical error message? I remember a few years back another game had a similar problem and deleting the profile was also the solution. I want to know if this is 100 percent full proof as so far I think everyone that has tried has had it work.
I don't think there is any trick to get signed in here. It's the luck of the draw. Remind yourself it's a beta test, it is not the final release in no capacity. I'm certain the team at Trion is hard at work and looking into many errors or issues being submitted, including this. Be patient, keep trying, and don't give up.

I can confirm the delete profile doesn't work, have tried everything including using the cloud, deleteing the game itself, everything, was able to get the character setup once, that's it
I tried for over an hour last night and nothing. Deleting my xbox profile so far has worked. I'm watching a cinematic right now.

Ok so that's two people that said the profile thing has not worked. I had hoped this was a 100 percent fix but it still seems to be the most successful solution. For those of you that tried it and it didn't work, were you getting the critical error message when you tried to get in the game. (Some people get a different error message and I am wondering if the critical error one works with the profile trick and the others don't).
I played fine earlier today. I have no intention of deleting and restoring my profile, so that's out of the question. I did use Cloud save so I may go ahead and switch and see if I still get the error. if not, I'll try and copy my last cloud save to the HD and try again...I'll post my results here

Any solution from the developer yet that doesn't require deleting my profile and reloading?
It's been 2 days with this error and haven't got a good response yet. Are they even trying to fix this
