Any Racing Fans?

I actually still play NFS Underground on PC, one of the only ones I liked really. I wish we had the options in Racing games that FPS fans have, I have one racing game.. it depresses me honestly.

i like american muscle and tuners...american muscle, cuz well, its american and built to last, japanese tuners cuz you can mod ans spec an engine and body to your wildest imagination ( as long as you dont add those darn bumblebee sounding mufflers :::shudders::: lol )

lmao, honestly to me it's just not a tuner unless it has that iconic turbo, I just can't get that sound out of my head! You know I seen one super car I actually like, and its in the game, can't remember what it was called though..

oh hell yeah, get a stage 3 turbo kit whaaaaat!!! lmao...there's a ton of street racing in savannah, a lot the street racers go to nopi contests and stuff, im all for the sound of turbo kits, its just the mufflers i dont like lmao

I think it depends on the car and how you have built it + what it build for. but yer V8's do sound good

I reckon you didn't built cars in mind specifically to fit your driving style, or certain events.
I had garages worth full of drags, time trial specific, drifters, and just aggressive oversteer for fun.

Sure it takes a bit of time to mess with all the settings, but my god is that the beauty of it. At least it was for me. I really like Gran Turismo. Can't say about Forza. I haven't played Forza 4.


Edit: I'm totally going to be up tonight, and hoping that the download for Grid 2 is available near its actual release time stated on PSN (which likely doesn't happen unless they slap on that DAY WAAAN DIGGIITAAAAL logo) I am so ready. MY BODY IS SO READY. BECOME ONE WITH THE CAR.

That is actually what took the fun away for me, I don't enjoy tedious tweeking of fake cars, i enjoy that with real ones. But the race itself i enjoy in games. I do respect GT for having such a hardcore tweeking system though, it does stand out about all the rest. btw. Screw Forza!!!!!!

If I had the money to tweak with all the cars I wanted I think I'd be too happy and live in the car itself for a bit.

yo jack did you have any problem with you preorder code for grid 2 btw? i got a printed preorder cose but cant enter it in to my 360 it 19 digets long and is layed out like this > xxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx but i cant find where to enter it in game

Hey Brad, sorry but no I don't use X360 so I have no idea man, my PS3 code worked just fine for my stuff.

Are ps3 codes 19 digest long? Cause i think someone made a mistake (i beleave the code is for brands hatch)

Before I get onto what I need to say... It has come to my attention that this thread has sense fallen into the shadows of the forum. lmao, I gotta say, some people on GRID 2 crack me up.. So I was playing last night and only 2 of us finished the race, out of 12.. Me, and the guy in first. I got second. The guy i was going up against was pretty damn good, but his car was a faster car stat wise anyway. We raced for 4 laps, on a fairly small track. We fought through the pack of idiots that always crash into the wall and each other, without scratching our cars even once. I put as much pressure on him as i could without crashing him, I wont play dirty in a real race. I couldn't get him to make a mistake however, He stayed vigilante!

Well we finally passed the finish line, about 1/2 a second between each other, he sends me a message "Damn good race!" and a friend request. All other racers in that particular race? Yea they ALL DNF *Did Not Finish* because they were all more than 30 seconds behind us, when the first person finishes the race, it starts a timer for 30 seconds to give you time to finish hopefully. That means me and this other guy, who was my level, finished more then 30 seconds against 3 30's and about 2 others that were higher levels then us, on one of the most simple tracks in the game. They just couldn't touch our pace, at all!

This is one of the thigns that makes me love GRID 2 so much, that was an epic race through and through!

They never had that "feeling" of the car. The shift in weight, the understeer/oversteer. Most cars handled the same. GRID 2 is solving that however and checking it out killed any doubt in my mind, this is the racing game I have been waiting for! The online is very interesting to me as well, the whole idea of challenging other drivers to a face-off *1v1* seems sweet. The game will feature races like Drift, Circuit, Elimination, and others. Courses include street, road and circuit tracks.

Also featured that strikes my fancy is the LiveRoute system, which changes the track, in-game, on the fly. Seems like a nice way to mess with people and make it all about reaction time. The videos are what get me though, the game has this awesome way that it handles cars. It really gave the impression *not having played it* that it handles as close as you can get to a real body-weight car, without the simulation feel.

What first gave it away for me was watching a gameplay video, and noticing the driver was counter-steering. Something you done usually have to do in a corner in racing games. Either way this game looks fun, so if your a racing fan, and on PS3, add me up.

P.S. Another cool feature is to upload your best races to youtube, love that.. ;]

Grid 2 is okay but it's a bit to steep for me. i prefer Forza Horizon much easier for me to drive in.

Eh, I tend to dislike these "simulation" driving games, Takes the fun out of it, which is why i play it in the first place. But if thats the kind you enjoy then rock on for you! They said GRID 2 was about the race, but honestly, its about the drift. Your ability to drift your car in each turn will make or break your run, and I love that.

Anyone else here a Need For Speed fan? I happen to have Hot Pursuit 2 on PS2; and Hot Pursuit 2010, The Run, Most Wanted 2012 and Rivals on my PS3.

I'm not the only one here that despises the turn the series took with Underground, am I?

Also, I'm a huge off-road racing fan. Dirtbikes, rallying, Baja 1000, etc. etc. and that's just on land. I'm also a fan of jetski racing, off-shore powerboats and hydroplane racing. Since I mentioned jetskis, anyone else here have Riptide GP?
