Best Way to Obtain Rare Weapons?

How's it going everyone? I have a question about rare items. Where are certain locations, boss battles, or anything that heightens my chances of receiving a rare weapon? Been looking for awhile now and I have only been successful at obtaining a legendary weapon through the forums, which is nice but I am hoping to find equipment that is my EGO rating. Let me know if anything like this exists. As always thank you for your time!

But for the most part tier 3 lock boxes are the best route then?

yeah some dude on the forums says he gotten oranges from the tier 2 lockboxes he must be lucky

for 48 keys you get 6 guns instead of 64 keys and 4 guns

I'm fairly certain that as of now you can only get legendary (rarest) items through lock boxes. As for the blue and purple, you can get those off of enemies. I would say ark falls and co -op runs would yield the most blue and purple items, just opinion though..

A tier 2 lock box is actually how i received my first legendary weapon as well. Didnt think it was that much of a rarity. But thanks for the tip I appreciate it.

oh wait you said "rare weapon" do the campaign (legendary is orange weapons) there just renamed crap guns

Also, the tier 4 lock boxes give you the best shot. While you can get legendary in tier 3 and you can get more items going the tier 3 route, I'm fairly certain the chance percentages for receiving a legendary items will be higher for tier 4. Even with less items than tier 3, these percentages still give you a better chance with the tier 4.

Ah i see. Then I suppose Ill just continue doing Instances and getting keys while amassing an arsenal. Thanks for the advice.

I've never had a purple drop off an enemy. End of a major arkfall, plenty. I only ever buy top tier lockbox. Only because I 'assume' it has better probability for getting an orange.
