How's it going everyone? I have a question about rare items. Where are certain locations, boss battles, or anything that heightens my chances of receiving a rare weapon? Been looking for awhile now and I have only been successful at obtaining a legendary weapon through the forums, which is nice but I am hoping to find equipment that is my EGO rating. Let me know if anything like this exists. As always thank you for your time!
you can just buy an orange from the trade forums most people buy tier 3 lock boxes and hope for the best

I'm fairly certain that as of now you can only get legendary (rarest) items through lock boxes. As for the blue and purple, you can get those off of enemies. I would say ark falls and co -op runs would yield the most blue and purple items, just opinion though..
A tier 2 lock box is actually how i received my first legendary weapon as well. Didnt think it was that much of a rarity. But thanks for the tip I appreciate it.Quote:

Also, the tier 4 lock boxes give you the best shot. While you can get legendary in tier 3 and you can get more items going the tier 3 route, I'm fairly certain the chance percentages for receiving a legendary items will be higher for tier 4. Even with less items than tier 3, these percentages still give you a better chance with the tier 4.

I've heard 8 percent chance of legendary in tier 4, 5 percent chance from tier 3 and 3 percent chance from tier 2. Judging by all the lock boxes I've opened, I feel this is probably quite accurate.

Trion, why not put a few Ultra-rare's in the store, I would for example think about, pay 800 bits for an orange weapon / Item, than for an outfit or vehicle.

If they ever put orange items for sale for bits i would be be so angry due to all the real money I've spent on lock boxes with no luck of getting legendary. Lol.
I can relate too that spent real money on weapons packs for Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, wont go down that road again. Also as bits are Microsoft points / real money then how is buying what you want in the store any different than gambiling on the contents of a lock box?Quote:

I've only got 2 legendaries. One from a major arkfall, one from a siege. Both times I was first place in standings, I think both have a tier system for giving out legendaries
Holy necropost, But yea, Legendaries used to be fairly easy to obtain. Nowaday's legendaries of any value are offered in t4 boxes along with that "please buy more bits" crap. Many "old schoolers" are still sitting on stashes of oranges but with the arkforge needed to level them up they are largely useless except for giving away.Quote:

I've had a bunch of purples drop on the ground, even when just messing around mastering weapon in open world areas. I've had tons of blues as well. I've received orange weapons from doing incursions and ark-falls.
Most of my oranges have come from vendor boxes. Only had one orange from a t4 box, but I'm still hoping to hit the jack-pot this time around.
So whats the best answer? Play the game, and the loot will come, it will probably have stupid bonuses you don't want (+melee on a sniper? wtf...) and or synergies that suck... but it will come.
