I am really disappointed in this. In AU some games from EB Games cost $120 (not all, but average is $90-$100). Over the years I have accumulated over 150 titles. Im very disappointed.

    Regarding Defiance though:

Can we do a character transfer to the new Xbox One server from the Xbox360 server?

I am considering this next generation console era, to change to PS4. Will I be able to Character transfer FROM Xbox360 to PS4 server?

Dude. Defiance isn't going to be on ps4 or Xbox one... It's a 360/ps3 game...so basically old news...

It's like asking if you could bring your super Mario world save from Super Nintendo to wii u.

Different systems and the game doesn't exist on the new system.

    Got it?

    "Where did you hear that?"
"On the internet, and they can't put anything on the internet that isn't true"
"And where did you hear that?"
    "On the internet"
"Oh here comes my date, met him on the internet, he's a french model"
    "Uh...Bonjour"

    Although these:
    - Xbox MUST be connected to the internet to play a new game.
    - Xbox must connect to the internet at least ONCE EVERY 24 HOURS.
    - No more letting your friends borrow your games, they will have to pay a license fee (full MSRP of the game)
    - Must pay a license fee (full MSRP of the game) to play a used game.
    Imo will really hurt sales

With virtualization software they could easily add an instance that runs it.same way windows 7 had a windows xp compatability mode or how my mac has VMware fusion that runs a virtual windows 7 PC at teh same time. they could have added in a virtual xbox 360 making every game backwards compatable IMO. Just like now on PC you can get game system emulators goign all the wya back to nintendo and such.

reposting what i've posted on similar threads elsewhere:

Lack of backwards compatibility is a bit misleading. I'm very certain you will be able to recompile any existing 360 game with the new libs and it'll run. When they say it's not backwards compatible, all the really mean is:

"we've restricted the ability to use 360 games so we can make more money and hopefully help slow the piracy methods used in the previous editions."

    and not:

"the underlying code is so alien that there's 0 chance anything made for our earlier platforms would function"

It would really be foolish of them to completely rework the entire mod to high level code structures, and force every studio to re-learn the libraries, rather than build on what already exists, and change everything low-level. Depending on the engine, of course. I suspect a lot of the code can be ported over rather easily, again, depending on how low-level the engine is that you're working with.

It sucks that I won't be able to play games like Mass Effect 3 or Skyrim again, because the new Xbox One has no backwards compatibility.
People say that I should just keep my Xbox 360, and use it, but not everybody has a lot of space to spare, and I really don't want to switch consoles each time I want to play an older games. Seems tedious and unneeded.
