I have never been a fanboy one way or the other for any system. I own them all, but I have primarily gamed on the xbox over PS4 almost exclusively. Right now, though...I wish I could look a Microsoft employee in the face and tell them to Go f*&# themselves.

I have to have the POS Kinect always connected?? Sounds to Big brother to me. Check in every 24 hrs to verify games?? LICK MY A^&. I travel a lot and very frequently do not have a connection. I refuse to support any company where I have to have Internet to play single player. The companies act like it helps them fight piracy and that is a red herring at best. They still get pirated and hacked anyways. I have a feeling after a year or so you will see them charging some kind of activation fee as well for used games ala EA games who I refuse to buy games from anymore as well.

I will not be getting an XBOX one at all until they remove the Kinect requirement and the always on BS. I feel sad about this though. I loved my XBOX and now I will not get to play on the successor. I have a feeling it will not be long before I have to give up on gaming as a whole. Strictly digital downloading is on the way and I refuse to buy into that as well. Unfortunately A lot of people will and that is why we will be screwed in the long run.

The Kinect requirement isn't going to go away. If there is enough backlash we might get lucky with the always online bs though.

i get it now. you're getting paid by sony to try to improve their image with the gamer communities after their horrible ps3 launch/reception...

however your approach needs a little work as really you're just proving to several of us how bad the community on ps4 is going to be.

I wonder why people are so ready to be worried about kinect spying on them... When you'd get far more information from just listening to audio chat...

No one makes a big deal about throwing their life stories into the ether with phones... How many of you have scrambled cell phones?

If big brother wanted to spy on you... Modern homes already have numerous data streams for them to tap...

I'll wait for you to sever your Internet and toss the rest of your tech...

Mainly because I do not understand the use of it...Why do I HAVE to have some kind of camera connected all the time? What is the purpose of that. Kinect was a horrible idea and a novelty at best. When im sitting down to play a game I want to relax..not flail my arms like a monkey having a seizure.

Seriously though...Why does it NEED to be connected. What purpose does it serve? I wish they would just answer questions instead of dancing around it.

And also...with things like Tripwire (look it up) in the works...drones overhead.. DHS buying up hollow point ammo and armored personnel carriers.. CISPA being passed.. just to name a few items... I'm not quite conspiracy level yet, but definitely wondering WTF is going on..

Reason for once a day connection, to make sure you've paid for all Microsoft products on your machine and to scan for hacks/ unapproved third party software. If it can't sign in it locks until connected and Microsoft approved.

IKR If you like console modding the Oyoiua (or however you spell it) is geared for it, and its gonna bee under 200 worth looking into.

My choice will be playstation 4 have (no time for my PC anymore with our newborn). The focus on gaming both indie and top titles along with its trend for the last few years on the ps3. I've seen the playstation try to get away from "everything" and back to games, while xbox's last few years its hardcore gaming attitude has dropped of and it's becoming a casual gamers entertainment center.

    So dumb...

So if I run into money trouble in 10 years, and cant pay for internet, my XBOX ONE becomes useless?

    That cant be right?

You are absolutely correct. So no one living in rural areas are allowed to play, either.
