How game should affect the show's future (some slight spoilers)
First off if you hate spoilers stop reading.....
Still here? Ok let's go on then. I will not go into details about the show but something caught my attention and made me think that there would be an awesome way for gamers to affect the outcome of the show. In the episode "Brothers in Arms" we as viewers are shown that the situation between the Votanis Collective and the Earth Republic is much more dire than previously thought, and that a new war is looming on the horizon. Should this war actually take place I believe that the gamers should be the deciding factor as to who wins it.
I know that there are people that get paid to come up with these ideas and future content, and they probably have better thoughts than I. This is just what I would like to see happen, maybe the community can back me up with this idea, or shoot it down I don't care i'm just tossing my thoughts out there.
So should a war start I think that the players ingame actions should have an effect on the outcome of it. This could be accomplished by setting up pvp matches so that it is E-rep vs VOT instead of these silly state names. The faction that has the highest number of wins during some ordained time frame is the army that wins in the show. Or implement both armies into the game somehow allowing the players to choose which to aid (by doing specific missions, instances, etc.) and the army with the highest number of times aided wins the war.
Like I said before I'm sure that someone in the company already has different plans, or even might be afraid to allow the players to influence the show outcome on this level as it might do harm to future plot lines. Just my ideas if you have better ones let me know below:cool:.
