Compared to most retail games there is about the same. Except I just managed to kite a wandering hulker into the boss part of a major arkfall. I don't have any other game that offers that much entertainment. And that is after all what we pay for.

I agree there is a lot more to do in defiance then the average game

Wait for what? The game to end and then have nothing to do. Like every other game on xbox you mean?

I haven't finished the main mission. I have dozens of side missions to do. I just passed EGO 2,000 so I've got a lot of XP still to collect doing the things I'm now doing instead of missions.

Now, I will get bored. It happens to the best of games. I just couldn't do one more round of killing things in Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. So I know how Defiance will end up.

So those who have already passed their maximum level of boredom do have an argument. Even if new and different things are added, they may not be new and different enough.

What would be nice, though, is if the people who are bored would retire quietly. Maybe one last farewell post...

Rather funny, but I was serious. As long as you want to do everything there's more content then most shooters, where you can walkthrough them in one night if your an efficient gamer. I've beaten nim without difficulties and started the story again, still have a ton of random friends, that I met in game, playing daily to do coop and other group activities.

I agree content wise there is quite abit to do, but hear me out- you take away those different named titled side missions and what do you get? the same shoot and press/hold button. Take away cut scenes from main mission what do you get? the same shoot and press/hold button with the occasional personal instance that honestly just looks like the borrowed level design from some of the co op missions you played on. Take away those rings on racing challenges and what do you have? driving around like you normally would your vehicle. Least they could do different is maybe add some cool different boosts during those time trials or something.

The only thing fairly different are the few different bosses we have like motherlode and arkfalls that at least has some layer of gameplay design to keep it interesting for the first two dozen times.

People feel this game lacks content because this game has NO depth, it lacks any sort of variety so doing a lot of stuff that feels exactly the same can do that. It tries to be a shooter AND a MMO but unfortunately for that reason it falls short on both sides
