lol just noticed the grind fragger that costs 206k ark salvage to reset now only has 10 shots in the clip. was 24 before this patch. if i only knew all this before i bought the game lol (crying hysterically inside)

Well whoever thought of that logic at Trion is seriously stupid, so instead of carrying around a load of weapons for me to use to level up my main weapon skill I can spend 55k on ark salvage to reset my weapon xp. Take an hour to level it up and then pay another 55k in ark salvage, yeah like nothing else in this game costs loads of ark salvage like unlocking slots and retrieving mods.
I seriously thought that if you reset your weapon xp it would reset the xp bonus you got and by the looks of it other people thought that as well.
I mean i'm so glad that my orange smg has got the awesome bonus of 30% extra damage against vehicles
Can anyone confirm that,
A. The max level bonus resets.
B. If it doesn't reset, does maxing it again add ANOTHER bonus?
If the case is B, then sh*t I can see it being worth it then. If nether happen, then f*ck this sh*t, I'll never use that option, and as far as I'm concerned that's just another cumbersome button this interface on PC doesn't need.

I'm at EGO 1200 and I've had a couple of purples maxed out for ages!
The gun Ego Levels are both around 120 so they are low
It asked for 4000 Salvage to reset them
its a orange so it had plus 9 to mag size , it also had the 1.50 mag size mod on it, i noticed instead of saying +9 to mag it now says 1.10 mag size, still broken as hell cuz it doesn't recognize the magazine mod i have on it.
If this is to be true then they need to up the value of scrap dropped in the game.

purple - 40/gun ego level
blue - 30/gun ego level
green - 20/gun ego level
white - 10?/gun ego level
Didn't have a white with maximum xp to be sure.
lol you actually thought the cost associated with resetting weapon Xp would be small.... you obviously don't understand this is all a ploy to get you spending real life money on bits.

Actually I like the way you think. I believe this will become the norm. although it would probably be best to get up to ego 500 or so .. still pretty cheap but I think that is when you get the first weapon bonus. Also probably about when it gets easy to find a Nano based weapon. Looks I will take my new level 90 irathy up to 500 and just leave him there for cheap weapons. It is said that we have to do that though.
They need to fix it, cost to clear should not be ego based as the ego level has very little to do with the weapon being better except that nano and built in pluses take affect at certain ego levels. They should base it only on additional plus's to the weapons that are built in like nano or the +clip, +reload, +synergy. But 200k arksalvage takes way to long to make .. they need to at least drop a .5 multiplier in the current equation. I think the same can be said of opening mod slots. who wants to mod a weapon they will salvage a few hours after game play? that ends up making mods pretty useless.
I dont care about price of weapons XP reset. 20 skill -> and you dont need it anymore. But it looks like TRION forces ppl to buy bits. Game is not free to play by now, but im afraid it will become FTP. Cause TRION wants to sell bits :( and FTP is a best way to sell this crap.
People are going to start selling ark salvage.
Exactly what one could expect from a b2p or f2p game. They start slowly, but after a while when the players are used to the game they make the experience so ****ing annoying that you couldnīt play smoothly without spending a hell of a lot of RL money, instead trying to make a good game with a fair shop where people are glad to spend money.
The game is now out for two months, so expect this only as a beginning.
Iīll have a close look at those ****, and if itīs going to annoy me beyond a point Iīm done with this game.
Thatīs the reason why I prefer sub based games.
i can almost guarantee at some point they will raise the cost of buying keycodes from 1000 to 2k or 3k ark salvage, at which point i will permanatly shelve this game. i cant in good conscience recommend this game to anyone who likes loot based games.
I'm agreeing with this. I am one of those broke family man gamers too. But as long as they are making money, they will keep the game fresh and work out the bugs quickly (adding new content often as well). Take away their money, and what motivation do they have to stay on top of things and keep trying to give the people what they want.
This game may not be perfect, but I love it. I got it on release day and have seen tons of improvements. Trion has already addressed what needs to be improved, so kudos to them for being on the ball whether they get it to us as fast as we want them to or not.
On topic: if you can't reset the max bonus, then this is a useless feature to some people since their weapon skill is already maxed out. Maybe this is something Trion overlooked (I mean come on, this was a huge patch... they did do a lot of work and gave us a lot of things we asked for, whether we wanted them or not *cough cough car damage----the solution to those morons ruining arkfalls.
However, maybe these were things Trion needed to get implemented quickly in order to make the patch. There is nothing to say that there won't be another patch down the road giving us the ability to reset the weapon bonus, or bring back the old car damage scale and make it whenever a vehicle enters the red radius the car despawns. I know the car despawning is already in game, I've seen it happen to me somewhere, but I've been only doing ark falls, co op and pvp for so long I cant remember where
i understand there is a cost with keeping the servers running for this kind of game, i was too quick too assume that their massive budget or the advertising deal they made with dodge could cover those server costs and just make a really fun game to play, instead it feels like theyre subliminaly trying to squeeze money out of my wallet, and that's getting old very fast!
Is it cheaper to Retrieve your Mods and then add Mod Slots and those Mods to another weapon you have of the exact same type? Unless your weapon clone already has 4 Mod Slots, I doubt it and I think the Reset Weapon XP option is probably the cheaper and more convenient choice.
the odds of finding another orange grind fragger with those stats are pretty slim lol, its still pricey to remove mods from a weapon, last time i did that was on a ego 2000 ish assault rifle, that cost me roughly 75,000 ark salvage. i don't wanna even look at removing mods from my 4100 ego shotgun! lol
