No reason to complain.....unless u play this game.

Ok ok cmon guys lets take a break here. Now I know I haven't been known for positive feedback on this game and my, along with countless other reviews, have slated this game as the biggest failure of 2013.But lets give trion some slack here, they tried to do something that hasn't been done before...well actually it has but for some reason in trions world it hasn't. And even though the trailers of the game show all this cool content that isn't actually in the game nor is it addressed to be in the future.
And trion even went so far as calling this game an "mmo" when it has 0 mmo aspects, we gamers can tell the difference trion. Even I played the game until I had both species ego ratings up to 5000, as i'm sure most of you did, I might even play it again later next year. But hey it's not like you had to wait long for dam defense or fy.......right?
But now that they released the patch trion has to shut down the servers again, and all because of one little hiccup on trions part, for some you got all your claim items for a second time, and for others you were able to purchase items from the store without needing bits or money.......whats wrong with that??? I can see trions need to want to fix this asap, so for once I will side with trion, and in the next year or so if defiance isn't shut down I might pick it back up just to see if any progress has been made, there is so much potential to turn this game into an mmo yet.

You got 2 charachters up to EGO 5000, i mean wow you must have played nonstop, so you cant hate this game that bad.

No no don't get me wrong, the game was somewhat fun when grouped with players to do all your pursuits, but after all pursuits are done, and all missions and side missions are complete it just got boring.
Even more so considering defiance has just suffered a 38% player drop. Is this game for me? maybe in a year or so, I play games for a living, it's my job, and with arkham origins, and diablo3 sitting on my desk, and an upcoming mmo for pc,ps3/4, and xbox 360/one from blizzard coming soon, defiance just doesn't have anything to hook me into staying with them.

I am hopefull that maybe in a year trion will be able to turn this game around before it has to shut it down, but I won't hold my breathe. Now am I saying everyone else should hate this game? no..heck no, I hope it doesn't lose anymore players because they have already lost enough and the more they lose the more the chance of this game being dropped.

I just wish trion wouldn't have titled this game to be something it's not.

OP- you stated that this is not an MMO. I'm confused, do you even know what MMO stands for? Because by definition this is an MMO. I might be wrong, but I think you should look up what MMO stands for. I did

I didn't state it was not an mmo, I was just stating what other sites had said about this game....ign for example. Most gamers that hear "mmo" think WoW, but for us that have hit puberty actually we like to try other games with the "mmo experience". By that I mean customization of characters, gear, weapons and more clan functionality. But this kind of stuff may still come in future dlc but this core gameplay shouldn't be something we have to pay for. And no....being able to pay to change the colour of your outfit shouldn't count, if that was the case we would just by the outfits from the store seeing as they are all the same as the basic outfits you can actually earn in the game just different colour.

One. I call boll(ocks) to the fact that you have got two characters to 5000 EGO.
Two. Lots of games are MMO's - Try being more specific (MMORPG), in which case you're still wrong.
Three. Give it a chance - historically all MMORPG's are on PC. Consoles are not PC's.

Example - You can play The Sims and Command and Conquer on consoles. Are they as good as their PC counterparts? Not by a long shot.
