Time out and lag

I lag and time out every five minutes. Makes the game completely unplayable.

Same! Or I can play until one of my friends joins my group! Pathetic!

you cant even follow the story either because every loading screen or cut scene your about to enter gets locked up and freezes. im sure their excuse is like every other company "we didnt expect this high volume of players" how the hell you going to put out a game and not expect a high volume of players? are you hoping your game sucks?

Same problem here. I started to think that it was a connection error on my side, but all of my other streaming apps on PS3 are running flawlessly. It really sucks. Half of the time I try to access my map or loadout screen I get "timed out." It sucks really bad after you've completed contracts and they restart from zippo.

TIP for when server's all laggy: stick around after killing enemies or completing an arcfall. I noticed that so much gear and loot doesn't appear until a minute or two later. I can't imagine how much I've just bailed on because it didn't appear...

I've the loading screen problem and also the time out. Not every time I'm on but it's still happens. Checked and it isn't my net or PS3.

I think it's a bit better than before now but it still bothers a lot

I have the same problem with the timeouts I know it has nothing to do with my connection even happens when I'm hard wired with 100% tested all of my other titles and they were flawless, therefore it is Trions servers.

yeah mine disconnects all the time ruins the game. not to mention i cant even get on now because the patch doesnt work... trion you truly suck.

since the 1.20 patch i have been getting timeouts mostly when near vendors

I only time out if I attend major arkfalls, and if I am in Sausalito after an arkfall and try to warp to Muirs I never get there, I get stuck in endless load screens... I don't know why I try anymore, I should just drive, or restart client as just logging out doesn't fix the lag, it just keeps the connection I had before. Last time I came back game put me up near Iron Demon when I had actually been on other end of map, so clearly game had stopped knowing where I really was 20 minutes or so before.

As for lag, I wish characters were stored on my drive as switching loadouts is just a pain, its so laggy... sucks when I run out of ammo during an arkfall and have to switch as game takes ages just to draw me, and if i am being attacked, its not helpful. Then menus can take up to 30 seconds just to appear, even when standing at a town. vendor menus are just as bad. Basically any interface besides combat is laggy for me.

Yeah I have the same issues. Trying to switch weapons layouts at a arkfall will lag me out for a minute or more. Going to friend takes at least a minute to get the UI to come up and my character does not even show up on the screen and I can't move or do anything. Even respawning in a pvp match lags and locks up my toon.

I'm also having the same problem. Voice chat gets garbled, enemies you kill stay there for a couple of minutes, and my character moves so slow.

Same issue here. I time out every 5-10 minutes, then when I try to log in again, I get the "server is unavailable" message. It's hard to do anything when you keep getting kicked and unable to get back in.

This happens to me every single day too, i then reset my router and nothing is bad, not my internet on my pc, laptop, wii u, 360, just this game on my ps3 not any other. It almost always happen during/after an arkfall and after a pvp match if i dont exit out right away.

Yes I agree completely this game still has many issues and what about the audio problems as well?? I'm really thinking of moving on to something else..

Yep audio has been messed but for quite a while now. It's been getting worse lately with even the EGO voice taking forever to catch up. If I can hear the game at all that is.

seems like the lag and time-out may be due to too much crap going on at all times... They should just kill the stupid ego voice-over; we've all heard it a million times and don't need to hear the same thing every ark fall. Also, limit the constant "pop-up" missions. The last time I timed-out I had bypassed three roadblocks in less than a few hundred yards and came up on an invisible object that caused a screen freeze. While it is fun to have variety and randomality, it sucks when it kills gameplay. Maybe if Trion scaled back all of the trivial crap, more focus could be given to the main missions/arkfalls without the lag... Just a thought.

I love this game. I've been with it since Beta, Alpha and full release. So I'm not one of these "fix it or I'm outta here" folks.

That being said, I'm sick and tired of getting "timed" out every 30 minutes. This started happening after that last patch for the PS3. Please fix this, people. I've lost the will to log in because I'm constantly afraid I'm going to put 20-30 minutes into a major arkfall and then get booted in the middle of the final arkfall of that series. I can't keep wasting blocks of time just to lose all the time and effort I put into these arkfalls.

I know it is just a game, but we, the players, are investing our REAL time in your game. And I, for one, WANT to invest my time in your game, but if you can't fix it so that getting "timed out" is the exception instead of the rule, then where is the respect to those of us who have spent our time, money and work (yes, it is work to build your character in an MMO) to support your game?

I get disconnected a lot at the final part of Arkfalls. I also love driving and having my vehicle explode when it hits an invisible barricade at top speed or the bridges vanish and you fall away into a blue sky. Yep the lag is really bad. Server issues won't be so bad when they lose players although doing Arkfalls solo may be a problem. ;)
