    I am objecting to these again. The weapon level serves no purpose. The weapons are not so substantially different as to warrant them and the level locking system is pure garbage anyway. If you're going to have one then weapons shouldn't lock to your current level, they should have a preset value AND enhanced stats. As it is now all it does is prevent weapon sharing among friends or trade threads BUT it also for some reason makes it ridiculously more expensive to mod and reset the weapon. My brother's level 150 orange cluster shotgun costs 2000 salvage to reset. My blue fire cluster level 1300 shotgun (which is not as good as his) costs 32000. This is stupid and ONLY due to a terrifically bad weapon level system.

    My guess is they tried to get some sense of 'getting better stuff' without introducing advancing levels on mobs also (which is a good thing I believe). But since the earning potential of scrip and salvage doesn't seem to scale up at higher EGO levels (lv2000 currently) anywhere near the cost increase it just makes me dirt poor trying to 'craft' anything at my level. I've fortunately kept most of the good low level weapons and they're getting pretty awesome when fully tricked out even though they only have 1-2 synergy boosts.

    I agree the system doesn't feel solid, but I wouldn't mind so much if they only made mods individually removable.

    I wouldn't mind the increase if the stats increased, or say if I want to put a mod 3 in instead of a mod 1. However level locking crap to whatever level you are is just stupid.

    It's all a bit screwed up and I don't see it being resolved.
    I think they have tried to create an almost equal playing field for everyone.
    A world where you can be level 100 and play with a level 1000 and still compete.
    Unfortunately the level 1000 does not want to feel even with the level 100 and nor should they.

    That is good and all but after about 2 months you could recognize the weapon levels are just an annoyance and take them out, or revamp the system by which salvage is calculated to do things to the weapon.

    You'll get no argument from me.
    If only they had different names every 500 EGO or something just to try and trick you into thinking they were different.
    It's getting pretty old picking up the same Ground Pounder since day one.

    i like the weapon levels, doesn't really bother me much at all. the whole EGO weapon level stuff doesn't make sense nor does it feel right. Ego 250 LMG = just as good as EGO 1900 LMG...yes i need 10X more salvage to enhance the level 1900 and i still get the same amount of scrip/salvage in mod drops at level 1900 and level 250...kinda bogus.

    if higher EGO = more resource drops things would be more balanced in a sense of adding slots to weapons.

    the ways to get and spend salvage go up yet the ways of earning keycodes go down...hrmm BITS anyone lol??

    i won't spend my salvage on anything other than keycodes..modding out weapons is stupid unless its something that is worth it.

    just round about ways of trying to dupe ppl into buying bits...

    I would love to see weapon levels gone, or at least change the cost of modding higher EGO weapons so it is reasonable. As I approach EGO 3000, I feel like the game is punishing me. I am starting to avoid things that give me XP (which is of course everything) so I can take as much time as possible levelling up. How bad is that? I have one legendary weapon that is EGO 2812 that I have been waiting to use for a long time. It only has one open mod slot, so to add the other three is crazy expensive. It shouldn't be that way.

    I think if anything they could level cap the stores and weapon types... but really shouldn't have a white crappy pistol loot that starts at same level requirement as you. It makes them worthless and no prospective to trade with others.

    I do think they need to lower the cost once you hit like 2k, or atlest freeze it. Because it gets to be a joke past 2k, and really stupid past 3k. I doubt ill last too 5k, im going to end up making a new character just so i can level and mod weapons again.

    (and ill think thats pointless and ill end up going to play another game).

    Nothing like being punished for getting your character to a higher Ego level. The current system is seriously bad.
