Forgive me if someone already said this, but I only read the first 3 pages. I think the idea of the gun is that it has a significant AOE, but it also basically blinds you. You have to stop firing to see what is going on. That might have been the trade off. What makes the gun extremely OP is that it blinds the people you are shooting at in PVP, it has full power over the whole range of the AOE in PVP and PVE. I have only seen this in PVE, if any part of the AOE hits the crit portion all the damage registers as critical. So you can crit 2 or 3 enemies with the same shot, if they are all together, like when the mutants drop from the helicopters at arkfalls. When I go to arkfalls with it I have to just focus on the enemies and seldom attack the crystal or all the animation will lock up my PS3 after about 3 minutes of firing. It starts out with the messed up sound, then slows the frame rate, then crashes the system.

I have three and after using it extensively, I have only one real issue with it, that causes it to be way OP.
There is ZERO falloff damage. You can litterally snipe with this SMG from 200meters with full effect. an SMG should have a real harsh fall off rate, where that 350 dmg smg should do 40-50 at range.
If this was added, the weapon would be back to normal and even with its high powered damage, the reason for this is the splash damage. An SMG should be close quarter combat. This weapon would be a double edge sword. You should need to be in close for the damage to be effective, however get too close and you kill yourself. High Risk High reward.
That IMO would make this a reasonably balanced weapon.

Lol. This gun will be tweeked a lot or it is actually something that is a lot rarer and higher leveled than it is in the beta.
Like everyone said it's only the BETA and things will most likely change in the final version. Look at how much the store and leveling changed in DUST from BETA to release.
While I think that your idea would help balance that weapon I don't think that a SMG shooting rockets should really have fall off damage. I mean the rockets shouldn't have a fall off damage, but an SMG shooting rockets makes no sense at all... that should maybe make it an LMG and have massive recoil or something
It's OP as hell... I'm not the type to complain about a gun ever but this is a joke. They need to add recoil to the sucker and reduce the range of the gun by about a mile. Half of the PVP server always uses it... fun times!
