No you are misunderstanding. Sniping in this game does take a lot of skill, it's just that you can auto-aim or one-shot people with shotguns/infectors/grenades so why bother?

The most noob-friendly weapons are also the most powerful. That's the worst thing you can do in any game. Any total noob can get a strong infector and run around hipfire killing everything in sight and his parasites run around killing for him as well. It's baffling how poorly this garbage was designed.

There is no "auto-aim" anything in this game. Yes the shotguns have a wider radius than AR's, SMG's, etc., but they aren't very good outside of 10 feet. Infectors you also have to aim. Yes they are homing projectiles, but you first have to "lock on". And I've leveled pretty much everything to 20 already, except for sniper rifles, BMG's, detonators, and rocket launchers...I can tell you that when i used infectors, I got WAAAYYYY more assists than kills. I carry a BMG in my second weapon slot to combat the bugs, and cloakers. You just have to adapt. If you refuse to adapt then I don't know what to tell you other than stop pvp'ing.

I've said, I'm only in it to finish out my trophies and pursuits and stop after that. The PVP in this game isn't anywhere near good enough to stick with past the pursuits. And you can't compare infector "aim"(aka keeping your cross hair within 5 yards of your target) to headshotting things with a sniper rifle. You failed there, bro.

The PVP is stuck between being a twitch skills game and borderlands.

Hyperbole much? I've never hit anything with an infector when the crosshairs weren't on the target.

The infectors essentially have an auto-aim feature whether you want to agree with it or not.

Aiming is the act of maneuvering the left and right thumbsticks until the reticule is centered on the enemy. Auto, which is short for automatic, means the act of doing something without User input. I think you guys are confused about the meaning of one word or the other.

There is not confusion. I said it is essentially auto-aim. That is what it is.

You're wrong. I've leveled them to 20 and not once did the game take over and start shooting enemies.
