The answer to: Do Arkfalls give better rewards when you rank higher?

I'm guessing most people, as I did, assumed that Arkfalls did give better rewards when you ranked high. Fact is, they don't.

Let's look at the evidence I have:

1. As tested by myself, I have noticed that I have NOT gotten better rewards when I ranked significantly higher on the leader board. By significantly, I mean from the top 3, to the bottom 5.

When I placed in the top 3 (10 times), these were my rewards:
Oranges: 0
Purples: 4
Blue: 6
Greens: 10

When I placed in the bottom 5 (10 times), these were my rewards:
Oranges: 50 <----- [actual: 0]
Purples: 6
Blues: 7
Greens: 7

As you can see, I actually got better rewards when placing better.


2. I asked a GM the same question above. His reply?
"I am unable to assist you with the question previously mentioned."
He said that several times in several different ways.
Either: A. Him and his team honestly can't find the info.
Or: B. There was no intention to directly relate rewards and rankings within Arkfalls.


Therefore, I think that Arkfalls do NOT give better rewards when you rank higher.
But, you be the judge.









If my conclusion is correct (, Trion,) I think that this should definitely be changed.

Shhh, soon people will realize that they don't have to do work at arkfalls to be rewarded.

Why would you assume they did given that nothing else in this game rewards based on rank/effort? it's all RNG.

I'm going to say something shocking... take a breath before reading.. playing a game should be about fun, not about how well you did on your last report. I have this other thing I do for that... its called a job.

I don't want Defiance to feel like a job. Note I am saying this as someone who is usually in the top 10 of an arkfall she takes part in, and not infrequently take the number one seat if I'm there for the whole thing, but I'd rather everyone have fun and get stuff than 40 people show up and three to five get anything worth keeping. All that would happen in that case is most people would stop doing them.

This isn't really about "Hey, if you do nothing, you get the same stuff."
It's more about bringing it to the attention of Trion (even though that's not very possible).

And I doubt enough people will read this to make Arkfalls be a gathering of people just sitting around, waiting for someone to do all the heavy-lifting.

-5 Keys:2 Epics// Show up at the end of the Arkfall and take one shot.
-5 Keys:1 Epic, 1 Rare// Show up at the end of the Arkfall and take a few shots.
-4 Keys:1 Epic, 1 Rare// Show up at one of the Minor parts of the arkfall, tag it, then come back later because you're bored and shoot once in the Major portion.
-3 Keys: 2 uncommons// Stay for the entire duration of the arkfall. Do everything by the book and be a team player.

Sounds about right!

All you've gotta do is play for a couple of hours to figure that one out. Did some people actually think otherwise? Pretty moronic, honestly lol.
