I'm probably one of the few strange ones out there that doesn't like borderlands. I choose Defiance all the way. Yes there are a lot of similarities but for whatever reason I just prefer Defiance.

Well since borderlands is my fav gam series, and defiance is my 2nd fav game, I love em both. Yes borderlands has the edge for me. So far. Waitin to see what the dlc will be for defi. But still nothing will ever beat bl imo. And when tiny tinas assault drops this month, ill be taking a long break from defi. What I love about borderlands games is, when all 4 dlc come out together they are bigger than the vanilla game was.
The style of graphics for borderlands are an instant turnoff for me. Just never could get used to them.Quote:

Sometimes, Now correct me if I am wrong... I hear in the music something that resembles the music from borderlands. If borderlands turned into an MMORPG scene in the future I would pick it up. For right now I like what Trion is trying to do. I was waiting for a thread like this to pop up. But who knows what is going on with the developers and why they chose such a similar fashion to craft their game. I wish the enemies had more phrases though.
Cell shading may not have been the most popular choice but its the easiest choice given the amount of content that is in the game. Plus the animated feel is just pleasing to the eyes. To many games strive to be realistic and that really is stepping outside the box going back to something that was basic and driving from there. People can complain about the cell shading but really I don't know if I would want it to be any other way.
I love borderlands I made so many friends there and it is a great game I can't wait for the DLC this weekend!! If I had to chose it would be a pretty easy choice am looking forward to seeing what gearbox does in future. Only thing I hated was the underdome dlc that was hell!!
Graphics style is all personal preference, myself personally thought Borderlands 2 looked stunning, i love the cell shaded graphic style. Defiance on the other hand is dull as hell graphically, everything is either green or brown. Defiance isn't an mmorpg either, playing online 4 player co-op in Borderlands had more of a social feel than Defiance does.Quote:
