Shotguns post Buckshot: Which are your favorites, which are the worst now?

Just an opinion thread really. I've always thought of myself as a shotgunner in game. Before anyone says it, no not because they were OP in PVP, in fact I don't really ever PVP.. I am just a shoot and scoot kind of player, like staying mobile and getting up close so shotguns fit me. I mostly use blur as an ego power in fact.

I used to love the VOT Auto-Fragger. Was just such a great killing tool. Sadly now post Buckshot patch I feel like its probably statistically the worst auto shotgun in the game now, and one of the worst overall. I begrudgingly and with a virtual tear in my eye salvaged the five I had.

Post patch I've been buying up every model I can find to see which one has the right flavor. I think I am a bit torn between....

FRC Berserker: which is funny cause I used to think of IT as the worst auto shotgun, but it seems to have gotten some level of tweak that now it kills real good.

VOT Fragger: It captures a lot of feel of the pre-nerf Auto Fragger only with two shot burst instead of three and being a pump action.

I was wondering has anyone else found new favorites?

VBI CS-X Cluster Shot

The one that rapidly shoots out grenades.

i agree the Auto-Fragger was my fav, now it is the worst, or at least feels that way. A syphon cluster shot get my vote right now. but please just whisper which guns are good, cause the nerf police are watching.

I'd just like one shotgun (not a grenade launcher pretending to be a shotgun) that works well. I can't find one that does not suck.

Had a heavy scattergun I loved for pve that turned into salvage. So far only the vot fragger has been worth something post patch, pretty much every shotgun gets broke down.

I dunno which is really better than any other, but I know I went after Nim tonight with a VOT Auto Fragger with siphon nano and got my azz handed to me. Switched to VOT Auto-fragger with electric nano and did only slightly better. This is my 3rd toon running Nim and I've always taken him down with these. I had to extract once and actually equipped an assault rifle on my loadout to put some actual DPS on the guy cuz the shottys weren't doing it.

Yeah they flat BROKE the VOT Auto-Fragger. Its such a piece of shtako now. It used to be such a nice gun and one of the best models in the game. Sadly now like most VOT guns (Disruptor, Mag Blaster, etc) .. its usable, but its not advisable. Its out classed by so many other guns. All flash, no sizzle.

Cluster shots have been a fav for awhile for combat shottie, Couriers for double, and there were a few good pumps, I like my orange grind fragger, but they nerfed its clip by 50% I think. It was silly good in pve before, it took forever to refill but now its clip kinda limits it now. I used a few berserkers leveling but they low dmg kinda made me go meh at them after i leveled i salvaged them all, I may have to hold of to one if i find a purple+ and check again.

Sure the burst shot is nice, in pvp maybe. But in pve, one can own with a fragger/grind fragger and blur combo. I own many boss types. Coupled with single minded I can reload while rolling and then keep running.

I use VOT Fragger since the very start.

It is still the most powerful shotgun in PVP. (Excluding saw-off which have their own rules)
