This bothers me a good bit actually lol..
for the love of Odin and all things awesome why are SLUG GUNS called SCATTER GUNS...it bothers me to no living end.. SLUGS DO NOT SCATTER....RAAAAAAAAAGE!!!! :D
Granted they're in the shotgun catgory but cah'mon...

Are there "Scatter" guns that are not slug guns? I'm thinking yes, but don't recall.
Well the term Scattergun is just a reference to a shotty. So a Sluggun being a shotty it just falls in with the scattergun catagory here..it just bothers me hearing a slug called a scatter lol...slugs don't scatter anything but skulls when they hit lol. Slugs are giant chunks of lead/steel or whatever they're made of...soo think of something the size as your thumb from the knuckle to the top of the nail...heh...tell me how that "scatters" when its shot.. the scatter is about how the pellets/buckshot fans out.. scattered shot.
Slug stays the same size at 10 yards and 100 yards and has a far superior range than traditional 00 buckshot. Buckshot the pellets spread over distance.. so at 10 yards someone is gonna be royally screwed but out past 60 yards they may just be "peppered."

I'd be happier if Slug Guns were called Slug Guns and Shottys/Scatters are what they are...
although they do have pump actions in the game called Sluggers so they get a pass...for now...

This always gets me. I love my slug shots, though! Does make you wonder why they aren't called slugshots. Just another whahuh? moment in defiance.

Yeah... It's just one more reason to never ever use them I suppose.
eh in the game they should deal the same amount of damage as a regular shotgun but have less damage drop off at range...
gotta say i rarely use them..i'm just bothered by the naming of scattergun and it firing slugs... bletch
