and CoD is bad for your mental health.

People just need someone to blame, I personally blame Treyarch for all of life's little problems lol.

It depends on how old your Xbox is. If you have an older model, you really shouldn't be surprised that it finally died. Chances are, your system was on the way out and the lockups (from Defiance) were the final nail in the coffin. I am on my 6th Xbox 360 now. Simply put, they were not initially made well. My current Xbox 360 is the CoD: MW3 version (320 GB HDD). I have never had Defiance lockup my Xbox. I do occasionally get Connection Time Outs, but my Xbox has never frozen while playing Defiance (unlike Skyrim). Bethesda really needs to release patch 2.0, to deal with the issues patch 1.9 created.

I guess no one remembers the Oblivion debacle that caused the Red Rings of Death? The old 360's not having proper soldering joints and horrible airflow design's mixed in with sub par fans? The older 360's have a hard time keeping up with games like FFXI, Oblivion, and this game.

Yeah, I was just meaning certain games do Burn the hell out of the old 360's. I bought a brand new 250 gig 360 slim for this game. Only because I knew my old 360 couldn't handle the stress of another MMO. I was a original FFXI on 360 player and in big team events it was a constant freeze hard reset the xbox.

I've sent 4 xbox's off to be repaired and have bought 3. Fun system just poor design and durability for what the software is asking of the hardware.

The game is still not the cause for the RRoD, the soldering and airflow is. The simple fact is that the mere act of using an item, regardless of what it is, causes wear and tear. Over time the item will eventually fail. It may be true that a certain game would tax your equipment more than others, but on the other hand all the other things you expect your 360 to do will add to the wear also.

Playing DVDs, surfing the internet, youtube, etc. All these things slowly damage your system. Maybe you should consider the extended warranty when you purchase your next Xbox.
