    Can we un-nerf the contracts?
I just wandered into a farm and put my controller down, because I had to eat supper. When I came back, I had half of my contract for killing hellbugs on farms completed.

I really liked how we had to each take a shot at a creature in order to get 'a piece' of it for the contracts. It taught us to work together. Taking that away goes back to not needing to work on a team anymore.

I wouldn't mind if it was set up so if you were in a group and in the same area, you would get the contract fulfillment. So trying to get the 'sights from delta bunker mutants' wouldn't require three play-throughs to fulfill. But now we can go Away-From-Controller and finish contracts without lifting a finger.

Well, I'm have about ten more Echelon contracts to do, and I'll have no real need for contracts anymore. So I really don't care. I just liked it better when we had to earn them.

I'm assuming this change was temporary, as a few things got rolled back with the latest update that weren't intended, such as the incorrect EGO rating spam we get every time we log in...

yeah, i figure it will go back to the way it was. it just made other players a nuisance. as it is now, seeing other players gives me a warm feeling in my cockles.

It isn't too hard to just tag every contract creature before they die. If not, you just leave the zone and come back in again, and the loser characters are in a different phase than you anyways.

Get back to the fiery hell you came from you foul demon.

I never wanted to see another person in the same effin universe when I was working on contracts. Now they're a welcomed sight, as they cannot hinder or delay me in any way.

You LIKED having to be a brainless fire-hose, spraying everything with your bullets and pulling stuff from 4 areas away just so you can get credit for the kill? You want to constrain people to groups for small things like contracts, instead of letting everyone kill whatever they wish in the area weather or not it's needed?

Go away, and I hope the door breaks your back on the way out.

Oh man, remember how totally fun it was when it was like this and you had the contract where you had to kill all the ***** cannons at Diablo Oil? Even if you got all of them it would take multiple passes to get them, and then if there were other people there it turned into a ****ing race to tag the **** cannons before everyone else killed them.

    Good times.

    He is trolling.

He went afk in game, then complained someone completed his contract for him. He went afk knowing full well what would happen. By his additional posts he obviously knows exactly how the contribution system works.

So because he did not log out while going afk for dinner he thinks the rest of us should be penalized for his laziness to simply log out.

i like that is back. i should not have to troll other players by killing every thing and not letting them have a chance to kill or take a shot at something. we are here for the same goal to get the contracts done.
yeah some people will exploit it though

i hate going through the lost soldiers for 3-4 rifleman per run through cause i didn't speed run and tag them all

when driving down the road and you get credit that kinda sucks, your just driving not helping

No thanks, other players in PvE should be allies not competitors for kills to be shied away from. Reverting that change was a excellent decision and I applaud them for it.

yeah i like the new system makes it more social to do contracts , after the change i realized how many kills were "stolen" from me before , i had to repeat some missions 3x times where it wasnt even necessary

Okay, so I succeeded where you failed. I used to teach those that were around me how to get the contract fulfillment, by sharing the attacks, and everyone around me pulled it off through shared effort.

I can handle you calling me a demon. One who works for what they achieve and enjoys that which they can manage through skill and power that others do not possess. Mmmmm, earned enjoyment. Tasty.

And yes, it is fiery here. But I digress, Contract Fulfillment Power Game ON! Load up your Lost Soldiers map, and sit there in the entrance and get your contract filled right up. BONUS!!!!!

Keep in mind, just because you don't tag the correct enemy to fulfill the contract doesn't mean you did not contribute to the goal. That is the problem with that system.

I think current system is better than previous 'tag everything but don't finish it and leave it for others to shoot' or 'kill it first before someone kill it' thing. I don't care afk free ride because it's not fun not doing anything. I'd like to shoot, not supper.
But how about restricting this target share feature only inside the group or clan you are in?

I applaud Trion for changing it back,

They made a mistake in changing it the first time, seen it was wrong and had the courage to admit it and change it back.

OP, you can solve the problem easily by

    1. logging out first or

    2. manually counting and killing the actual number you should have needed or

    3. paying the people who did your contract for you

I doubt it was intentional, Every patch seems to revert previous work or break things. There was no notice about the change so expect them to revert it eventually.

I hope they realize the community's dissatisfaction with having to fight other players for the ability to complete contracts as opposed to working cooperatively with them to complete the contracts. I really hope that it stays the way it is now.

Their configuration manager must have been one of the ones cut.

Do they even use version control tools? Or the developers just keep the source on their old C drive and whoever screams the loudest have the "one true latest copy".

I hope it's intentional, there has been no mention of it.

Most decisions have not been "player friendly" so far by Trion, so this would be just about the first.

I think it was silly that everyone on the team during a co-op map had to tag everything. The person killing the sniper makes it possible for the other person to kill the riflemen.
At the same time though, today all I did was drive to a farm to kill hellbugs. I never even saw anything but hellbugs. While killing hellbugs I got a message that I killed Mad Mattocks. I hadn't even realized I had driven anywhere remotely close to 99ers. That is silly.

The funny thing is that even NPC kills seem to count. Was driving through San Francisco and got Scrapper kills when I drove past Dark Matter fighting Scrappers.
