    ... Didn't they just determine your starting outfit and weapon? I think there are no restrictions on what you can use (based on what "class" you pick at the start)

    i saw a purple pistol on one of teh vendors. it had a bonus (2) machinist. forget what it was. i'm a machinist origin.

    so perhaps it will matter - slightly - in the long run.

    Its a confusing title that they use for the synergy bonuses. I thought anyone can equip and use machinist bonuses, but the name makes it sound like only the machinist will get the bonus. Several have suggested changing the bonus names so they don't match origin names.

    i wanna see a seperate EGO ranking for the pvp modes. everytime i get into a pvp game i feel like im the lowest one there when i know i couldnt be. or maybe im just bad at pvp games...

    The main point of this thread was to make some permanent diversity, so it felt like we had classes, or something that had an actual impact that we know other people might not have. If my idea isnt the best, modify, change it, and progress the thread forward with ideas on how to fix it. If there is no diversity and permanent decisions, what is my motivation to start my character all over again when they release new races with the DLC.

    We already have all of that, without needing origin specific bonuses. Or 'permanent' perks that might screw up your build if you didn't think things through enough. You can always bank on having a weapon your enemies don't, you can always bank on using perks they don't.. And since you can only use one power at a time, you kind of have a class depending on said power you have equipped at the time. And everyone has their role to play.

    They just don't offer cookie cutter builds that serve nothing in the long run.. Everyone can shape their own destiny, and change their play style as they go to fit what they want to do.
