Bonus Loot Weekend: Players have a 25% increased chance to earn loot when they participate in a variety of game activities that offer loot drops during the scheduled time period.

The loot categories are weapons, weapon mods, shields, and grenades.

So get your friends online and play Missions, Side Mission, Co-op Maps, Arkfalls, Emergencies, and much more for your chance at Bonus loot for this weekend only!

The Bonus loot weekend kicks off Friday at 12:00pm PT and will end on Monday 6/3 at 12:00pm PT.

All of this would be great if there was a meaningful weapon system, and a lot more variety.

EDIT: and to clarify, you're just getting MORE loot, not necessarily better loot. I get tired of sifting through garbage loot with the normal chances of it dropping, don't need that increased.

Hopefully more noticeable than that travesty the last time they did it. Where it seemed like my drops got worse.

maybe you should go play a game that has a typical mmo loot system then? because i'm pretty sure it was advertised this way from the start for Defiance. complaining about it now just makes you look like an idiot, no offence :)

If have to agree with this... Last loot weekend I found atleast 10+ blues I used or still have so, I profited from it. Looking foward to this one as well...

Two things you guys should consider while looking in this gift horse's mouth:

An increase in the amount of loot dropped gives you more chances to pull good loot.

They've improved the quality of loot drops between this Bonus Loot Weekend and the last.

Actually no, it wasn't. In point of fact when the loot system was brought up as a possible problem during Beta, Sledge famously told people that the system that was in place, that is to say the current system, was a placeholder and that things would be different at launch.

Obviously Sledge was... Mistaken.

Don't recall complaining about it. However, speaking of looking like an idiot, saying "no offence [sic]" when saying something clearly meant to be offensive is generally neither an intelligent nor effective rhetorical card to play -- at the very least, try and have the courage of your convictions.

From what I heard the alpha had some sort of weapon progression apparent in vertical systems, it was scrapped for whatever reason. Then someone asked for a difference in weapons and weapon stats after they played the beta, and sledge said that the beta values were not the same. When the game went live and we saw the same weapons and weapon stats as the beta, it kind of pissed me off. A few of this have brought this up and haven't gotten any reply on it.
