Ionic Barrel III vs. Power Bore III
Ok so this is and isn't a trade thread - I'd genuinely like to know people's thoughts on which is better.

Ionic Barrel with the 15% Crit Mult bonus -or-
Power Bore with the 7% damage bonus

If it helps I would like to know which you'd pick for a long range FRC Heavy Assault Carbine for instance. LOL

(It is and isn't a trade thread in that it will determine both the status of my Ionic Barrel III and possible trade for a Power Bore III)

Personally, I'd prefer the extra crit. I'm using an Assault Carbine with Assassin Synergy. My goal is to optimize critical hits cause I feel the damage far out performs in all forms of PvE (not PvP tested, I have no interest in PvP)

    This is my opinion.

I would have to take the 7% damage bonus, It's not often you see a critical hit. Permanent damage increase, I'll take that any day. I like to PVP and a sure thing is always your best bet. ☣

I disagree. In PvE, 90% of what I come across has an easy to access Crit Zone. This is from my experience.

Tell me the PowerBore III is Cannoneer if so hook me up. Lol!!

If your Heavy is Assassin I would go with crit. If any other synergy than damage.

it's not a Heavy, fully automatic. From the tooltip with Assassin Synergy, the additional 15% damage buff (or 10%, doesn't specify if the buff stack, or the 4p replaces the 3p bonus) does not have a cooldown, just an expiration time of 10 seconds, so I believe you if you land another crit, it will reset the timer, do an Arkfall and that is a HUGE damage bonus... which is why I agree to the above statement lol

I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't use a Heavy Carbine in PVP unless you are playing Shadow War and sitting far away or something.. I hate all scopes in this game. I wish Trion would put in scopes that don't zoom in...

I hate Heavy Assault Carbine... love my full-auto Assault Carbine.
