Ok am getting a little tired of this happening every 15mins even at the end of major arkfalls,where am either getting froze or timed out its ridiculous i enjoy the game alot but when this happens its annoying this needs to be addressed trion.:mad:

Same here. Sick of the server time outs + the LAG the game has.
./me attends an Arkfall, progresses to the main event, 3/4 way through it BOOOOM Server lag kicks in & i am kicked.
Restart game & the my PS3 locks up, have to do a PS3 restart then login/sighn on then wait for it to load up.
Then BOOOOM i startup at the total opposite end of the map from where i was.
Getting these timeouts is bad enough every hour but it IS getting worse, not just Arkfalls do it either just driving around can do it, can tell when 1 is going to happen, Takes 5 mins to open a vendor or main map. Drive around & get stuck on nothing, 5 LAG mins later & its a Tree or a Truck that hasnt loaded up yet.

PS Some of the Smaller Arkfall Crystalls have started to not spawn. Hellbugs there but not the crystal, Then timer runs out & cannot progress to main event.
They could fix this by adding more servers to the network. I love this game but maxing the amount of logins is not good for the system and people get booted and lag get bad. Don't understand why they dont think of this.Quote:

It seems to be happening more frequently for me also :( I got kicked out of an arkfall yesterday which was just about finished but to be fair when I logged back on I got credited with my keycodes etc, so not a total loss.
your lucky got booted from arkfall tonight at the end just as the score table was about to appear,when i logged back in lost keys and loot,seems when trion brings in these patches it ****s something else up.
Same here. Played for the first time in a couple of weeks and the amount of time outs was verging on unacceptable. Same with sieges, love the new addition but by god can they get laggy to the point of crashing my console.Quote:

I absolutely love Defiance... But these lag/time out issues are really starting to get on my nerves... Lag I can deal with but constantly being disconnected is growing tiresome... Especially when about to finish an arkfall or a trade with a stranger (bam disconnected - reconnect your at the other side of map and cant remember the strangers name). Had to stop playing 5 minutes ago because was disconnected 5 times in a row, if I did not stop then, its likely my playstation would have taken a one way trip out a top floor window.
It's ten times worse than usual recently to the point of being unplayable!
A real shame as I love the game!
And it is apparently more important to make the invisible wandering shotgun mutant visible than it is to make the game less frustrating from all the time outs.
I also love this game and have dumped an additional $300 bucks into it for season pass and bits, and I want this thing to work. But getting dumped out halfway through the final boss on a major arkfall about 12 times? Come on, Trion. PLEASE!!!! Quit catering to people being crybabies about PvP loadouts and fix the freaking time out issue!!
I love this game too. I've been playing for an hour and the game has crashed 5 times. I don't know how much longer I want to wait for them to fix this.
Personally I am getting to my limit with this game. The constant kicks seem to be getting worse and worse. Hell on the weekends I can't even do co-ops or arkfalls (Let alone Sieges)
Adding more servers would be a step in the right direction.
I have timed out on Major Arkfalls, Sieges and sometimes regular missions. It has been getting rather annoying. But with The Last of Us coming out this week this weekend and possibly a few days this week will be my last for sometime
At least you guys can log into the game. I haven't been able to get to the character select screen since May 24th.

I've just tried changing the DNS servers my Xbox uses to see if it that helps. I do wonder just how much is Trions fault though, companies still have to try to get games to run smoothly on what are now poor connections, and that also brings up the question of what role lag compensation is playing in these problems. I don't want to pick on anybody with slow internet but lag compensation punishes people with decent internet. Is it not time the minimum internet connection speeds to play a game were raised? I realise decent internet can be pricey so how about a price drop ISP's and actually get people off copper wire and onto Fibre optic connections.
Has anyone seen "Phases" in any other MMO?
This is the first MMO I have seen with no server select, but instead everyone is seemingly connected on all servers, but in different 'phases'. I know the ideology is that most all MMOs have connection issues in the beginning, but this one has definitely had the worst connection issues I have ever encountered.
I can't even play the game. I get to the point where I throw the ****ing game out and take a break.
Arkfalls- Timesout, Sieges-Timesout, Modding-Timesout, Picking my nose-Timesout, Bathroom-Timesout, Washing hands-Timesout, Sitting in my truck-Timesout, Watching Trion's live stream-Timesout, PvP while fighting bugs in Water Front-Timesout, Watching Batman-Timesout, Side Mission-Timesout, Writing this on the forums-Timesout, Walking my dog-Timesout, Thinking of stuff to add-Timesout, but you understand my meaning right Trion.
I can hardly play the game. I rather deal with Skyrim's freezing and long loading screens. I do know you are working on this problem as we speak.

this happened to me right after I beat the game and it screwed me outta the act 5 trophy
Dont know how much longer I can take these disconnects... When the game launched they were bad, but they gradually got better. Ever since the last server patch, the frequency that they are occurring is on a completely different level. I must have been disconnected atleast 60 times today, lost numerous amounts of XP & keys due to this (being disconnected when an arkfall/siege is just about to end). Want to inspect someone? Sure just inspect them, wait afew minutes for the window to decide to appear, but expect to be disconnected 1-2 minutes later. Want to view your map/inventory? Sure just wait 5 minutes for it to appear, make a change/waypoint and then BAM disconnected again. I was even timed out afew times while trying to CONNECT.... Not only that, want to fast travel? Sure! no problem, just fast travel and sit in an infinite Loading screen. Trion I love Defiance, but PLEASE hear your PlayStation 3 customers cry for help.
I am really tired of Trion's splash screen on game load. They should take that out until they fix this before they are automatically associated with barely functioning games. At this point I don't know that I would buy another one of their games.
This is running rampant. I send a bug report every time. They do get and do read them. It is a GAMEBREAKING issue and has to be #1 on their list at this point. All the updates and fixes are incredible but dont mean **** if the game doesnt work.
Nothing more fun than almost finishing a mission, arkfall, siege and have it time out.

.....it's not that bad. I haven't really experienced anything bad enough that makes me want to quit playing. Sure the game lags ever once in a while but that's about the worst I've experienced.
Really need to get a grip on this server time out crap.. 8 times in 20 minutes of playing is crazy. If this doesn't get fixed Trion will be loosing many valuable customers including my self. Was considering getting the dlc but now I don't think so. Especially if its doing this crap.
