questions about weapon levels

i tried using the search feature to no avail.


i am around level 400. one of my friends wants my purple saw, since i just got an orange one, but he is like level 1100. will this gun be too weak for him to use it ? same with the orange one.

he gave me two guns, one is level 500 and one is 722 --- i cant use either of them until i reach those levels, so i am wondering if it works the same in reverse .

nope, no loss on usin a low lever when your a high ego :)

There is no difference really. The only issue is that once the weapon levels, you will no longer receive weapon skill experience. But they have changed that now so you can reset a weapons mastery back to base

Yeah, me and a couple of friends found that out the hard way. I think that is why they put in that you could reset the weapon. It does cost a bit of ark salvage for the first reset, but every reset after that one is considerably less. I spent about 50k ark salvage to reset a purple lmg, then after that it only cost 10k. A blue one cost me about 30k first reset, then about 4k every one after that.

So the only way to level the skill up is to use different weapons. Yes you get some bonuses for a full ranked weapon, but I think it still retains those once you reset it.
