did anyone else find the last episode mission a bit... meh?
before i start i love the game yes it has its bugs but they can be ironed out and with studies im finding it fantastic to spend an hour or two in the evening relaxing aswell as the fact i play with my dad doing co-ops and the like but this last episode for want of a nicer way pissed me off and this is my reason

all the build up for eren starting to panic over the infection (my brain is on fire)
the proposed samples that we meant to collect before the synthesizers started just never happened eren must have a stockpile of afflicted goo stashed somewhere then
all the build up with the awesome synthesizers which quite literally became on of the best things in the game for me
and finally that mission for want of a nicer way to say it it was shtako oh noes dark matter all 10 of em -_-

dont get me wrong i loved the seiges and the idea of it possibly having a impact with the show i was so hopefull for this cross platform synergy that seems to have fallen at the first hurdle so overall we had

    1. no story beyond infection>zombie>cure with little impact beyond seige
    2. dark matter turns up all 10 of em with a piss poor excuse not even a named baddie at the missile trying to stop us
    2. what is quite honestly a shockingly **** shield i salvage better than that and honestly when i started the quest i even thought wow there must be more to this as its only a blue and the nolan/irissa crossover gave me a sweet purple gun

so overall i think either trion need to admit they screwed up here and not do this again for future episodes or continue it next week with some contrived reason to carry on

hell just leave the seiges in and il be happy with the overall episode arc but geez that mission...

I get the feeling that the show tie-in hasn't happened yet, thus the actual episode mission hasn't been activated. Seems like what we have so far are just the side content. The recordings talk about us being asked to look for a cure and all that, we haven't had any actual missions yet.

You mean the siege? I've done those. Unless there was a new update today, in which case I haven't played the game today yet.

Sometimes I think Trion doesnt realize how fast we finish the content they put in. I do enjoy there storylines, but yes, there needs to be something more than 20 min a week of content. Perhaps they could make us figure things out on our own, not giftwrap it, not tell us where to go and what to do, but drop clues and make us spend a little time.

Another bunker quest no idea where this ties into the story??
Yet another boring single player stage that made no sense how exactly does this tie into the series? or is the episode i have not watched yet?, I am pretty sure that any quest i have done under ground ends being in the exact same boring bunker, no real challenge..... did i really pay for this sigh

I agree here. 1 10 min mission that made little sense to me seems very half hearted on Trion's part.

I listened to the recorder that was there so I get that we needed to launch the missile, but what was on it how did it suddenly appear, where was it going? Oh well back to Marvel till next week or DLC.

I really liked the first episode mission. I liked the second one less but i still liked it even though they could stand to give a bit better loot for the end of the quest imo. This last episode mission was too short and lousy loot to boot.
Seems like a book that had the middle two thirds torn out.
    Gather the intel.
Boom! cure the plague with sieges and send the cure by rocket to defiance.
They did mention the parraba family on the show last week.
    Thats something.

The first episode mission was to draw people in.
What's come after that.......is almost like just tossing us a bone. I hope better stuff comes.

I am totally confused by it, where is this rocket going to land? Thought airspace had radiation issues - so it will be an radiated rocket when it lands? Is this like bank tube delivery system between Eren and Meh?

Rynn was disappointing and now this... my hope is waning.

It was a bit meh. You see the prelude mission and you're like "this is cool" You see rynn's mission and you're like "Did some things right but terrible ending and no closure. And now the plague mission.... it was like they just gave up. Reusing the same bunker? I mean come on... not that I expected any better.

They can't even link the co-ops into the main storyline properly. So I didn't expect anything here.

Obviously the centerpiece of this entire episode are the sieges which are, undoubtedly, the best PvE the game has to offer.

Defiance isn't really a stereotypical themepark. Most of the content is for more sandbox in approach and design.

I think anyone looking to Defiance for SWTOR's level of themepark questing is barking up the wrong tree.

They still failed to introduce the sieges into the story. They just popped up with no prompting and nothing to them. I mean they're fun, but the entire content is lacking any substance tying it together. That's how they failed.

Non-issue for me, story in MMOs universally suck. Stuff like that is meant for single-player games IMO.

Since I started playing MMOs there have been TWO quests which were good enough for me to actually remember them (one in Tabula Rasa, one in Star Wars Galaxies). All of the rest have been beyond horrible.

But for the marketing team billing it as "Watch the show play the game" we DO have a story and they just need to stick to it and use it. We all get the game had to be made first, it takes longer but it should also flow better than it is.

As for MMO's sucking with story - LOTRO probably can dispel that completely. The lore, storytelling, main quests, and even most side quests are done perfectly.
