Its close for me though, the bug and glitches and time-outs, i guess are common in the MMO world but it seems a bit on the absurd side here... The content is growing, which i like, but it just isnt quite there yet to say it was a well-spent $60.
I believe I got my money worth out of the game. Granted the only issue that really bugged me was when the social abilities came across some turbulence. There are still months left until the next gen systems come out, so I plan to gobble up the free games from Xbox live and then kill off Defiance.
I made two characters just so I can have one fulfil the completioniat in me and another just to meas around with.
Are you kidding me? I've only been playing for about 2 weeks. Only have an hour a day to play and I've had to delete the damn game from my xbox hard drive and reinstall it 3 times already. They should be paying me to play this game. It has definately been a waste of time and money for me. I've spent nearly as long installing the stupid game as I have playing it.
Personally I have experienced very few bugs since game launch. I have played everyday since launch between two to eight hours a day. This is significantly more gaming time than any other game I have played on the 360 so yes I think they deserve the money I have spent on the game and then some.
Unfortunately, no.. maybe, $20.. Too many bugs/ event glitches, server timeouts & hangups.. Otherwise I'd say $60 was fair.
is any game really worth the money you spend on it.
its just escapism a small time out of reality
i could have spent the money on a couple of bottles of jack daniels and forgot a whole weekend.
but i like playing xbox so the game won out in the end
I am content with the game that's for sure, as for getting the 60 dollars worth? Not really, I've played for about 3 weeks now and about 50% of the time it has been lagtacular, buggy, or times like today where I couldn't even sign in. I was thinking of getting the season pass for the five DLC packs we are to get in the future, but that thought has gone.
between the game and buying bits,, I over paid and not worth it to not work half the time or like today not at all.
Maybe DLC when things are fixed.
Bits? No. I won't fall for that again with another company.
umm.. no. Between lagtastic days where you might as well not even bother, the "Exp Bonus Weekend" where you cannot group, the still messed up clan/friends stuff, and todays piece de resistance.. the lack of everything (No map, no menu for Ego skills, no build swaps, no gear, no vehicle, no combat functionality).. not only no, but hell no.
Too bad though, the game IS fun when its working. Maybe I'd feel different if it were on PC and things worked, as Trion did real well with Rift, but on the xbox? For the 3 weeks I've been playing thus far, I'd have to say its a fail, and a complete waste of money.

Ive not suffered from anything terrible like others have. Had great response with the 3tickets I submitted the first week of launch, and had no problems after that. They gave me what I was missing and compensated me WELL for the trouble. The biggest problem ive had was the 24 hours after mondays update....was getting disconnected every ten-20 min. So yes, trion has done well by me, so they deserve my money. For now. I just spent another 50$ on bits during the sale. Couldnt pass it up, because I know I will use them with the dlc and new stuff coming. Plus 10, 400 bits is much better than the usual 5200 the money usually gets us. I will only be buying bits when they have specials from now on. In submission from my standalone experience, ive put just over 300$ into defiance thus far, and havent had a 2nd thought about it. Money well spent, and if it continues like this for me, im sure theyll get more from me.
However they should not be defended 100% either. There have been major problems. Im just glad I was not affected by them....knock on wood. And I strongly believe consumers should judge the company by thier own experience with the product. Theres definately a whole lot of ppls money they dont deserve.
I would have to say overall with spending $50 on the game the season pass or whatever the DLC pack was called and then being stupid and buying bits only to have the items I buy disappear from my inventory. I'm a lil unsatisfied with the customer service and the patches being released that just make the gameplay worse. As far as the game itself I love it even if it makes me mad as he11 when it the issues take away from my game time. Tried to play today and it was so lagged out the map wouldn't even show up. So I had to hit the chat box to make sure I wasn't the only one and nope everyone was having the same problem.

Just tried to sign on before I went to bed to make a trade, and I couldn't even make it into the game. I'm thinking about taking a break for a few weeks at this point. Hopefully Trion can rehire all the people they just fired, because in the process of saving money, they're soon to be losing it.

i also love this game. i feel it was worth the 60 i payed for it. but not worth the extra 100 my idiotic ***** spent on clan boosts and such. i feel that they have a great game that they could fix but are not working hard enough to fix. ill keep on playing until they completely fail. but trion worlds will never recieve another penny from me on this game or anything else that they launch in the future.

I enjoy the game, ego rating at 3,828 and all that happy horse sh*t. But it's worth half of what I payed for it and that's with potential included. As a PC game, it's gotta be a joke right? Like this on a PC would give me Diablo III nightmares. I expect a PC MMO to be much deeper than this bag of chips.
For an Xbox game, console game, yeah it's worth my money. I can't see myself buying the DLC but it's been worth my $60 thus far.
i was dumb enough to waste money on a season pass also. another waste of 30 bucks lol. coulda bought me a nice steak dinner and got more pleasure out of it.
Yes i believe this Game was worth my money. The biggest multiplayer experience ever, awesome weapon customizations, the bugs and glitches didnt bother me that much i was to busy parading around destroying everything in sight with some of the coolest players ive ever met in a game (social glitch aside). i lost boosts to clan glitches and the social glitch but trion has been very good in replying to my tickets even giving me a very generous refund of bits. you dont need to pump money into this game to compete or succeed so until that day the games worth it to me and i will still be there playing it when its fixed.
