I get timed out message on sign in. Yes, I uninstalled and re-installed the game.
Are you still getting this time out error? We performed an update across a few problem servers that seemed to be the root of this issue. Please let us know if you're still having issues.

I also just got the timeout. I logged on, everything worked, I could group, I walk around for a bit.. Server Timeout. When I get back, grouping is broken again, even though I could stand right in front of my friends and find them on the "Nearby" menu.
Got 5 crit errors, on the 6th try I got on.... really hope you guys can get this squared away...
yup I can't get logged in. this happened to me yesterday about the same time.
Another friend is currently logged in with no issues.

Im still getting the error too
Same thing for me also. Lets me select my character, but then during the loading screen I get the critical error server has timed out pop up box.
I can pick my character then I time out before I get into the game. I have tried to clear my catche and reset my connection. This is getting old!!!
