to everyone that say to give the game time?

how long should we wait till the game is an official failure? please give how many days, weeks, months, god hopefully not years.
mmo have been out since 1974 with the game mazewars, and really took off around 1997-1999 with ultimate online and everquest. Since then there have been hundreds of mmorpg and mmofps and now even mmorts.
So again how log do we have to wait till you people say it is ok to call this game a failure?

hell they are still redesigning what cars look like since they were created, but even they know there are basic stuff that has to be there. wheels, eng, steering, breaks, est.........

all valid points. I think you should call it a failure right now and move on. once again, i find someone on the Defiance forums bashing a game you obviously play on a regular basis. instead of asking for others permission to move on from a game you say is a failure, why don't you give some criticism that could be used to improve the game. this combination of self entitlement and instant gratification is appalling. I cringe for the future.

in time these crying players will move on and the ones that is left can enjoy this game. we then make friends and get to know each other in this game. by the fall we should know who is left and then mabe these forums will be filled with much better threads.

Truly depends on how you want to define failure.

I enjoy playing the game, have finished it twice, and feel my time & money are well spent. For these reasons, I do not consider it a failure, and never will.

However, if you define failure as "not meeting potential" - I also strongly believe that Defiance could have been so much more. It has yet to meet the potential that I see in this game, often frustratingly and disappointingly so. While I continue to hope for steady improvement in the game, I admit that I cringe with each patch wondering what will be broken next. In many respects, from launch, customer service, communication with it's fan base, lack of play testing & broken patches, Trion has been an ongoing example of how NOT to be a professional gaming company. As a "new to Trion" customer, the self-inflicted damage to my trust in their company has been severe - not unrecoverable, but severe none-the-less.
