I have been unable to download any Defiance patches for a week. Instead of playing I am watching the download screen to see how long it runs before it locks up. I like playing the game, but this never being able to play because I have to wait for the patcher to lock up is really bad. So bad. I am going to post every time it locks up.
i did not even get to finish typing and it had locked up. Restarted the download again.
It locked up again, only way to get it to do anything is to kill it in task manager.

forgot to post 2 crashes, make that 3, crashed while I was typing.
Another crash. I started this patch download this morning at 7am, it is now 3:34 PM and I still cannot play.
Try re installing the whole game again by deleting everything to do with defiance on what ever system your playing it on.
don't worry about your progress as that is saved on the servers. Your in for a 1-2 hour wait though
It locked up again, restarted the download.
Try to run Patcher.exe as Administrator.
