So, let's discuss the removal of Sieges.
Guess Trion didn't like me laughing at their decision, as they straight up deleted the previous thread on this matter. So no laughing this time guys, no pointing out their flaws, no criticism, and for the love of God, no negative outlook on the game whatsoever. Okay, go! Discuss!

When the DLC info was first released, it was said that sieges would be a part of that. No one heard of sieges until then. Trion decided to give it to us early (maybe it was planned, but we were not told until it was almost upon us). Yeah, it sucks. I would prefer that they stay, but I will be happy once they come back. We know they are coming back.

It's all a matter of hurry up and wait

But the matter of it is, how long of a wait? I'm really getting that, "tomorrow" vibe from Trion. Everything's always on the distant horizon, but it doesn't end up panning out once we get there.

Well, as seeing the original thread was censored, edited, and re-opened, it would seem this replacement thread is now obsolete.

Current word is "late July" with hints that it could be earlier. We're looking at about a four to six week period with little to no content additions to compensate for the removal of sieges.

We have some absolutely lovely officers in CORE who have made it their life's work to make sure the lot of us are entertained. They bust their butts coming up with some fun guild events to bolster activity and keep the members happy. Sadly, this cuts into one of our major events. There just isn't a whole lot to do right now, and I really dislike the fact that content is being removed when there's already so little available. I would prefer it if they had simply recycled the Raiders into sieges while we wait for new Volge variants.

A shame, but there's not a lot we can do about it. I hope they hurry up with that DLC, my interest is starting to wane.

Sieges are NOT gone. Plague sieges have expired, more sieges are on the way. Quit your complaining.

Maybe the new content will be awesome? Honestly I had a lot of fun grinding hellbug emergencies when the elemental variety came out and I'm glad they decided to leave those in game even though they said they wouldn't once or twice. The last 2 sets of episode content have been great. Let's hope the trend continues. Even if it won't be as massive an update as afflicted were it might still be fun. Can't be any worse than the pilgrim shtako.

Edit: And to the poster above me, sieges are not gone, but they said they will be pulled from the game at noon and unless we get new siege varieties they haven't told us about in between now and DLC1 or they do a rewind event we won't be seeing them again until then. They will be gone for a month.

You really thought the last episodic content was good? It was 5 minutes and you got a useless grenade for a reward am I missing something?

I was counting all the hellbug content as one. I actually liked the varied emergencies and the new enemy varieties everywhere.

Shtako like that actually improves the game. 4 new emergencies that you can't even find and aren't that good to begin with and ****ing lanterns, not so much.

I can vaguely remember your original thread. However, I can say that sieges won't necessarily be entirely gone. Yes they're gone for now, but just hang on there for a few weeks or so and you'll get your sieges back in game. This time with more of a challenge, hoping that Trion aren't holding our hands against the volge.

For those who will moan and cry about 'Boohoo, I want it now waiting until July is too long' I say to you patience is a virtue that you really need to try to exercise a bit more with MMOs.
