Some folks swear by melatonin, but apparently it's not good to use it for extended periods.
I just learned to meditate to get past it. My insomnia was generally due to an over-active brain/anxiety. Once I figured out how to shut down the white noise I was able to fall asleep whenever I wanted.
You could also try r/insomnia for more detailed tips/help.
Ugh, normally I can cope and just have some Rescue Remedy or my allergy meds and they make me space out and relax. They're not working lately, for a couple months now. Thanks for the link, I'll have a look through and hopefully can figure something out for myself.
Being asexual makes that a difficult thing to do.
