As Opus said, anytime you see blastpods you're going to get a decent shot at reviving others. When arkfalls failed I used to ask people to help with suicide revives as well, most didn't help though. I think there's quite a few selfish players out there.
When I got to 90/100 a new lag/bug showed up where you'd see a player go down, but when you got near them they'd vanish. If you stepped back, the player would reappear and drop again.
The pursuits are not intended to be blasted through in 5 mins, this is why they give you large totals to complete. If players simply gained the numbers through normal play (like I did, kills at major arkfalls included Blue crystals and Ground Pounder) they would find they have objectives to complete for longer and spend less time *****ing they don't have anything to do.
I found no issues gaining my 100 rev's simply by going to arkfalls and not shooting at anything during the phases that most damage is delivered (blast pod spawns, the double monarch spawn after the second Symbiote damage stage etc) and just looking around at who I thought most likely to go down (those repeatedly pulling aggro)
The rewards gained for completing pursuits are simply not good enough that anyone NEEDS to rush through them, I'd quite like the Armour for completing the EGO evolution tree but as I don't play PVP there's no chance of me getting echelon rep and frankly as all it does is change what you look like and doesn't at all alter gameplay its really rather pointless getting annoyed by it, and since you can't actually get it untill you hit 4000 ego its a little daft to go rushing through all the previous tiers finishing them at 1000 EGO.
I will try to look at whats happening if I go downand if I don't see someone heading towards my broken form within 10 secs I will self rev and just be a bit more careful so I don't go down again (only generally get dropped through my own recklessness, +75% Hp regen owns and will sometimes res you itself when the heal comes in a fraction after the kill shot) I try to res ppl I see go down even tho I have finished the pursuit simply because I would want people to res me if I was stuck on the floor as my self-res is on cooldown since if I extract I generally end up miles away from where I was and by the time I get back its over.
Do revives have to be inside the mini-arkfall circles or do they count if done anywhere inside the massive red area? Just curious to see if anyone's tested.
All in all the arkfall revive pursuit is pretty stupid. Pursuits that depend on others are poor design.
This I've lost count of the times I've went to pick someone up and when i'm standing where they were downed they no longer show up, move back a few steps and someone else is getting the revive
I got my 100 self revives doing the blast pod arkfalls, get around 10 each time in those.
It encourages team work imo, if you see someone going down regularly because they have the wrong shield on stick to them like glue.
Saying that i'm not really fussed how people play the game anymore, I play how I like they bought their copy so they play how they like.
It's not even really teamwork in the case of the revives though. Technically the most team-friendly option is to quickly self-rez and not put your teammate in an awkward position of rezzing you out in the open. The revive pursuit is just poor design in that sense. Not that it really matters. I might look to boost it eventually with someone if possible if I'm way behind compared to other pursuits.
I've always used the all for one perk, which revives every fallen player by reviving just one. At one arkfall I received 23 revives and I only revived one player. The other thing I wanted to say is that calling someone selfish because they are playing a game the way they want to is absurd. As long as they aren't impeding on your gaming experience, (like parking the cerberus in front of spawn point and not allowing other players to leave spawn site), then it's really no ones business how another player plays.
