Griefing vs not knowing

So, I dont know if its like this for everyone, but, on PC it seems many people doing major arkfalls many players are either daft ( I doubt it ) or they're griefing and padding their numbers ( which doesn't work ). This happens the most with anything that has to do with leaving an enemy alive so that they can open up vulnerability in the crystal.

What ends up happening is you get a million people using rocket launchers or lobbers that do AoE damage and kill everything. You ask them to stop and explain why and they ignore you and keep on going. Sometimes you'll get the new guy who stops and doesn't realize it but 9 out of 10 times these players don't care and are only there to piss the other players off.

I have noticed teams of players and even guilds of players doing this together. If you are rocking a high damage Lobber and Rocket Launcher that rains down death and destruction, you've been playing the game long enough to know how to do each of the arkfalls besides the fact that EGO keeps annoyingly telling you how the ENTIRE arkfall.

So, what I am curious about is, would this be considered griefing? or not? Because I got a LIST of names and guilds of people doing this and I plan on sending it to TRION. Cause its not only annoying, but it wastes everyone's time and effort and only makes things worse for EVERYONE there.

You're complaining about people killing things in a third person shooter. I'll continue to play how I want and if it makes you mad, all the better. Those destroy the crystal arkfalls are dumb. They aren't fun. What Trion needs to do is to remove them from the game. Problem solved.

Again, there is already a thread like this else where. If you are doing major ark falls expect it as people need 2500 kills for a pursuit. People be complaining about not getting revives for that same pursuit, try to avoid viewing what others do during the major ark falls as stupid. There reasons for everything anyone does in the game, and how long it takes to get to 2500 kills during major ark falls for that pursuit is yet another example of one of those reasons.

Now, that isn't griefing as TRION designed it into the game. If it was griefing you'd encounter that outside the ark fall events as well. I mean if say I wanted to grief you, I could stalk you every where you went shooting you at you with something. Even though it doesn't do damage until you enter a pvp area.

[bold]What is going on in ark falls is people doing their pursuits for both the ark fall way of life III (2500 kills during major ark falls) and leveling up their weapons which works nicely in both major and minor ark falls.[/bold]

By the way, I hate to tell you this, but where you said padding the numbers, damage does count either way and it can get you to 1st position just messing with all the mobs and leaving the crystal along. It all depends on how you play it through.

I don't believe so if they chose to use explosives there really isn't anything anyone can do about it, they could just as easily complain about people killing the crystal too fast so they don't get as many kills. (yes I've actually seen this)

some of them are doing it because it`s they easiest way to do their arkfall kills without using a car, but yes some are just there to outscore everyone. So it is kind of hard to decide who is griefing, who is an idiot or new guy, and who is just trying to grind the arkfall pursuit.

Honestly it doesn't even matter. The only difference is an insignificant amount of time with the same overall positive result of completion.

I don't think you know what griefing really is because you can't do it in Defiance.

Yeah, they could remove them and no one would likely miss them. After all, you don't need "xxx number of crystals destroyed in ark falls" pursuit. Yeah, that pursuit doesn't exist thankfully.

I'm tired of people feeling so self entitled that if a person self-revives they aren't playing the game right... if a person kills mobs to do a pursuit or level their weapon in at an ark fall they aren't playing the game right... IT'S A GAME... Play it how you want to play it and be respectful to others to allow them to play it how they want to play it. Problem solved as well.

I dont mind it when people are actually doing it because they need to finish their pursuits. But making an ENTIRE group of people fail to get to the main boss because you want to kill skitterlings is dumb when you can just amp up and kill tons of stuff in the final fight of the arkfall.

Video or it didn't happen. If you didn't complete an arkfall stage it wasn't because somebody caused it.
