Wow....a big thank you to all of the developers for responding to this post. I think it's a great thing to post more often because it gives the community a sense of knowing you personally. Did any of you have a ColecoVision? I saw where one developer said he had the Intellivision, atari 2600 and others. I'm 35 and as a kid we had the ColecoVision with games like Smurfs and a really cool strategy game called WarGames. The colecovision was maybe the best system before Nintendo came along, so I was wondering if any of you had one? :)

Man, I wish I had a Colecovision back then. I had a friend who had one and I was so jealous.

You shouldn't poke things with sticks, you know! You never know what you'll wake up!

What video game background do you have?

I started in Tech Support (oi,phone support) for a major MMO back in 2004. A while later, I was moved to a management position helping keep the company running, and then eventually shifted over to Community and moderation, because I loves the players and missed direct interaction with them like I had in Tech Support. I've been fortunate to meet some amazing people in the industry because of my various roles, and had some pretty awesome experiences.

What are some of your gaming experiences like? (Defiance & other titles)

I'm totally going to date myself here, but I started my gaming experience when I was barely old enough to read, playing D&D (AD&D hadn't taken off yet) with my family every Sunday. It was a pretty simple transition from pen&paper RPGs to MMOs, back in the early days of EQ. I've played nearly every major MMO since then for a time, some I still dabble in, some I don't. I'm really bad at progressing, though - too much talking to people LOL. I don't play on any consoles; I'm purely a PC gamer - don't judge me!! :P

    Do you play amongst us?

Yes; I like interacting with forumgoers as a normal player, and have a few funny stories about that I wish I could share, :)

Just basically anything you're willing to share?

I feel like I'm completely boring in comparison to some of the devs and more prolific gamers on my team o.O But I also juggle a family, a band, and a number of pets I've rescued over the years (my cat's 17, my dog's 14, and my ferret is 8, all senior citizens in the pet world), so my gaming time is pretty scarce.
And because I've been asked a few times, yes, the ferret in my avatar was mine, he was the first one I ever rescued, and passed away from cancer a few years later. But he was the best ferret ever, and cute to boot!

We'd love to hear about some of your funniest or epic adventures in your line of work, personal gaming &/or even Defiance adventures.

Perhaps the greatest gaming adventure I've had was on my way to a tournament for a (then) prominent collectible card game. My whole group was heading to a town that was about two hours outside of where we all played. In order to make it in time to register, we were leaving pretty early (they had an 8AM registration start with a 9AM start), and in order to give us lead time we left about five in the morning.

Well, of course as we headed out we see that the roads just covered in snow. A small blizzard hit the state overnight and none of the snow trucks had gotten out. So we set off in this four door sedan with the snow just coming down in sheets. We couldn't see maybe 15 feet ahead of us, and it was so thick on the highway we couldn't actually tell where the lanes (even for oncoming traffic!) were. We got about thirty minutes into the trip when we pulled over because we just couldn't see in front of us and we didn't know where the road was!

Right then, a massive snow plow drove by with a small train of cars behind it. We got back on the road and, luckily for us, were able to follow it all the way to get off the highway and we even got to the tournament in time to sign up and compete! Definitely the scariest drive I've ever had. Well, it's a tie between that and the time two tornadoes touched down on my way to the Origins convention one year, but that's a story for another day. ;)

Ever thought of having a Dev/Mod day or weekend? Game with the Devs. Split everyone up equally for PC/Xbox/PS3, under official Gamer Tags made just for the event? I've played with Bungie, Rockstar, 343 & XBLPET on those special occasions. It'd be pretty cool to converse & game. Make sure you bring your Troll Ban Hammers w/ you. Just in case. =)
