    Weapon Skill Maxed (reset Mastery?)
With my LMG maxed finally what if any benefit to my FRC SAW would doing another Weapon Master Reset do?

Supposedly, resetting your mastery weapon experience has a low rate to reset the bonus.
There is speculation otherwise and most people havn't seen it.

So resetting your weapon XP would just benefit you if you havn't maxed the level of that weapon type so you can keep the one uber gun and reset it to max that weapon type.

Take note: rinse and repeat that only to green and/or white weapons. It's gonna cost you a lot of Ark Salvage if you're going to reset blues, purpies, and oranges. My way of saying, I already have 5 weapon skills maxed out with the least Ark Salvage spent.

I found after a few times the price dropped on my purple SAW. First time or two it was 36K but dropped to 10K each time after the first 3 or 4.

But then again, if you're only going to grind weapons, it's much better to find a good green (e.g. green FRC SAW) and reset it only for 2,000 Ark Salvage per reset. If your objective is only improving weapon skill, better go for greens.

Good point....but I wouldn't have gotten quite so many 1st place co-op and arkfall finishes with a green. :)

Did somebody already tell you that you don't gain weapon XP in major arkfalls? (only in some select minors, but not all)

When at a major arkfall, switch to the loadout with your best weapon for the job. ;)

As you know, resetting the mastery just allows you to use your favorite weapon to level the base skill class of that weapon. If you max the experience, you don't gain experience in that skill class. One negative is that it takes 20 minutes to reset mastery on a weapon so you might want to keep an extra of each of your favorites or be prepared to switch to another loadout and level a different weapon type while you wait.

The cost of resetting mastery is much better than the first week or two it was implemented. Before it was based on ego rating of the weapon. Now cost is only based on Rarity type and is as follows:

2000 ark salvage - Green (uncommon)
4000 ark salvage - Light Blue (rare)
10000 ark salvage - Purple (epic)
    ?? - Orange (Legendary)

Really I would say keep a light blue or purple and just reset mastery. This allows you to reserve more inventory space for mods or picking up items to salvage (a major pain in the game unless you buy more slots with real money). I'm not sure, but I think that the experience needed to max a weapon is higher based on its rareness (but I'm not positive). Also, remember that the special affects of the Purple weapons can greatly increase you kills per minute, thus accelerate your weapon leveling. It also means you get more use out of a fully mod'ed weapon for more damage/accuracy to further increase your kills per minute.
