Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn Inquiry?

Will characters carry over from Beta to the final product? Oh, and do you guys have to create a Square-Enix account? I still have mine from FF XI. Maybe they'll be like, "OH we remember you! Here, have a whole herd of chocobos for your friends!" Then I shall distribute the birds amongst you all.

Current beta characters will be wiped from beta enters Phase 4, but once Phase 4 starts, that's open beta, and all characters will remain for launch.

Get it on PC then, they share the same servers. That's what I play on.
