I thought Dark Matter was all Castithan. Other than Ara Shondu (who was only sent there by the VC) you don't see them anywhere else in the bay area. There are no other size (big Sensoth or small Liberata) Dark Matter characters. Some could be Indogene but they don't seem like soldier material. I guess they could have Irathients, but they don't mix with Castithans from what we've been told on the show.

To be honest though, if you make a human with white skin, white hair and yellow eyes you have a Castithan character. I may try to make one tonight just to see how it works and freak people out.

Dark matter is either all castithan, or castithan and irathient though I doubt it. Check out their video in the intel screen, the vot an name of the group is castithan "shkathe' nado". But, in the video the in armored guy kind of looks irathient so can't be sure.

Tried to make a Castithan but light pink is as white as anyone's skin gets, and the lightest hair is still grey. You can have a one eyed guy with prison tats on his face but not an albino apparently.

.. what do you guys think is gonna happen.. why are the Castithan coming to the game?

“Around 75-80 percent of the show has nothing to do with the game, so perhaps only 25 percent has to crossover,” Nankin says.

Odds are it won't based on SyFy's quotes.

Tell you what: Just pretend that the correlation between each week's episode and the actual game are like a in-game lockbox. Then you can figure out just how rare it will be to have them crossing over and how likely you'll get Casti lore on your TV. :p

Honestly I don't think the TV show gives a damn about the game. The game is the dependent one in this relationship, not the other way around.

    So.. no.

Of course the game is more dependent, the tv show is designed to cover more of the story telling aspect. The game is supposed to be more action oriented, covering the bloodlust aspect of fans. But the television show is going to appeal to more people than the game, as people actually have to buy the game. That's actually the problem most people have, thinking it would be the other way around or perhaps more evenly split. Personally I view the game as supplementary to the show, and a good way to burn some free time.

If people have that problem, you can't blame them. They were lead to believe there was going to be a cohesive mesh between game and show by all the pre-launch hype. The show still says every week "Find out how the show and the game connect" and if you come in game you find that it barely does.

I mean, who wants to try and find out who "Charlie" is and why he's out there, and after riding by him you find later he's a piece of error code that has nothing to do with the show. Nothing endearing about clownshoes workmanship except to the low-brained.

It's things like that on both sides of this project that frustrate customers and just turn this into a poorly planned hurr-durr dudebro shooter, when it was supposed to be more than that... which probably goes to show why it's now down to $30 after only three months.

I know, I know.. Debbie Downer.

Well, to each his own. I enjoy it at least, I look forward to seeing the episode content stars, and hope they'll throw us a curve ball this time and it's just gonna be insane. That might never happen, but it also might happen. I like that the progression in game gives perks that will supplement player skill and not just symbolic in game mechanics earned through time wasted that put players over the top. Pvp I don't like ATM, except shadow wars. But hey, some people love it.

Castis cant move out of Defiance into the bay area else they wont be on the show, and the good Mr Curran and his family is showing to be in 13 episodes.

Totally agree, as long as someone enjoys a game, it doesn't matter.

Unless, enough people don't like this: "That might never happen, but it also might happen." That sense of uncertainty of a game's direction.. at least mmo players. I don't think console Xboxers think that way.. most want the "pew pew dudebro" thing.

PC mmoers need to know a game is heading in the right direction so they can feel invested. If the message is "We might do something but then again, we might not.. stick around and find out!", that usually doesn't fly.

PvP is unbalanced and skiddish right now, but usually that improves over time to some degree at least. Nerfs/buffs you know. :)
