Tested a little more and it does do damage to things that don't die immediately, it just still doesn't show numbers. Used it on a Tanker and it was about as effective as sniping, which makes sense...
Yeah, I got this from a siege on PS4 and I can confirm it doesn't show any damage numbers or XP or anything. It seems to kill a bunch of things in my case but it's still obviously bugged somehow. ...
