XBOX one, what will happen to defiance?!

I have read a few articles about it and the only real problem I can see with it is if they are going to transfer all our content from 360 to xbone. It will be silly to not put it on the new console, really they would be killing their own game drastically by not doing so. So far our only issue is that we may not have our characters and will have to start again, but, they have not responded in any way as to anything to do with that. And I read these articles over a month ago to, so there may be new info out there

Defiance is coming to xb1. I write for www.myxboxlive.com and have some articles there on it. We are going to have to buy another copy of the game, obviously, but the season pass issue is not an issue at all. Since it is tied to our gamertag, whatever dlc packs are not available when xb1 comes out we will be able to download as they are released. Also, your character saves and issues are server based so buying a new game copy doesn't automatically erase them. From the people I have spoken to, it looks like they are going to do something similiar to Battlefield 4 and DICE with a cross transfer save file. BF4 is released oct29 in the us and nov 1 in uk but next gen systems arent'c oming out until after that. As a result, DICE has said they are working on a way to allow you to transfer your data to the next gen system once its released.
Defiance has also already been renewed for a second season after the 4th episode so it'll be around a while, at least another year and more if it continues the way it has been going.

What incentive is there for gamers to 'Re Buy' Defiance for XB1 ?

There isnt one, Unless they give us better visuals like the PC. Even then does it justify buying a whole new copy?. I personally wouldnt even download defiance again on XB1 even if they were giving it away free. Whilst i love the game, The pros dont outweigh the cons with defiance. There is nothing worthwhile to do on it once the campaign is complete. Do people really want to play PVP on this when you could be playing BF4 with next gen visuals ?

I think they should just let defiance die out on consoles and cut there losses. This whole TV show/game thing could have been much better, The game itself could have been better. The core mechanics of a good TPS are there, Its just everything else, the way things have been done seem either very last minute or very under thought. To the way the weapon scaling has been done, To the poorly implemented PVP and CO OP instances.

Sieges are awesome that is one positive, But its too little too late IMO. I have high hopes for the upcoming DLC but in the back of my mind i can see it being another 3 or 4 hours gameplay with some new weapons coming with a huge pointer to the cash store .The feeling will be '' all this waiting for that ''

None... which is why I'm guessing that it will be a free download, should it get ported to the new hardware.

As it's saved to server and not my console, if i buy xbox one copy of game my character will be transferable via the server correct? It was hard to interpret PR"s statement in press release
