What if they nerfed the Volge to be super weak against BMGs? Or maybe their shields would drop instantly from a BMG. Something like that.
LOL,,, I have found that a decent infector actually is something they seem to dislike. takes a little time but it works fairly well when paired with a nice ground pounder...

I should be fine, having fought them with SMGs in all of my encounters... and when you break their shield and they take 50% damage from SMGs, it is rather... annoying to have to pump 800+ rounds into them, but a lovely challenge.

Yeah a BMG was suicidally wishful thinking.
I maxed out LMGs and modded 3 different SAWs just for stuff like this though.
