Any good volge killing strategies?

I'm curious, how long do people normally use on a volge emergency? I see a lot of references to staying far away/ducking/etc here, and it just sounds like a slow strategy.

That's the thing, you can't go balls to the wall with these guys, have to take your time. I love strategy lol

Yes you can. I can average one such emergency ever 2-3 minutes, travel, ammo, and loot time in between included. Makes for very fast loot farming. The reason I'm asking how long most people spend on these is that someone suggested that their loot drop chances might be nerfed if proven to be too lucrative, and I just want to try to determine what the average is to see if that's likely to happen.

Vs. normal Volge: Claok + FRC Sniper Rifle

Vs. Bombers and Visceros: Blur + Shotgun/ Pistol

Over Charge- Sucker Punch, Intimidation, hunters stance and a few others. Get up close and personal with BMG to handle that shield. After it's gone switch to SAW and send rounds down range to dome. Haven't perfected the technique for when you roll up on 3 just waiting for you with open arms. I do utilize my vehicle as armor so my 3 sec/recharge shield is ready for the continued onslaught of these disgruntled aliens.

Getting into a group and having one individual act as a decoy makes thngs somewhat better.

Well wil my FRC I need 2 ~3 shots /normal Volge.
The first wave dropps within less than 15 seconds.

When the Bomber spawns I get close with Shotgun and grenade.
Then I reposition ~40 seconds

I grab the advanced weapons against the " boss" which puts him down to 1/4th.
Shoots him twice with the shotgun.

-> Around 1.30
Maybe 2 minutes if I fail my sniper shots.

The ones without Advanced Weapons or E-Rep take more time though.

Hmm, I need to try my sniper against these things. Stumbled across a Syphon bolt action sniper with 1.15 crit, assassin, and 1.03 damage last week. The Volge might be the first normal enemies where that's not massive overkill
