It's possible that those against the notion were heard in large enough numbers to warrant a second look at implementing the region locked servers. It's also possible that we could be overreacting to a miscommunication, and what Sledge actually meant was that the game discs themselves would be region locked, not the servers...

I doubt it, but who knows?

IMO, Trion (and MS and Sony) are separating the player base too much. Wouldn't it be nice if you could play with friends and guildmates no mater where they lived and no matter which platform they used? I do understand some of MS / Sony concerns of mixed player base... However, IMO, Trion should convince these giants (it won't be easy) to at LEAST allow any Xboxer to play with any other Xboxer anywhere in the world. Same for Sony.

We don't have regional locking for the PC platform because Trion can control that. I have beta chars on both North America and EU. So, if Sledge can swing his hammah and make these region locks go away it will be good for the player base AND good for Trion.
