    volge

    im sure it should be in general but i trust my fellow gun owners.

    these guys are no joke and seem to have dead on aim. my question is what weap or synergy seems to be working on them the best?

    from my experience i have found the lightning saw to be fairly effective . any thoughts? should i be looking for a different type of gun/synergy?

    ya my ar was doing well just not cutting threw like i am used to. cant take these emergencys alone an i dont like it. guess i gotta change my strategy

    the gunners and bombers are easy. the big guy... get a good sniper and a little distance. keep backing away. roll when his arm turns red and keep hittin him in the head. if you have good distance, he wont use blur against you so you only need to dodge his shots.

    syphon saw works well they seem immune to stun also the healing syphon offers helps a ton...

    I did a lot of volge emergencies tonight. A LOT (156k worth of ark salvage from mostly volge co ops). I did them solo and in groups of 2-4. Here are just some of my suggestions.

    Syphon and fire seemed to be the best Nanos. Syphon to get life back (several times we were saved because of syphon). Fire is nice because it spreads and has a good tick. Electric is the worst. You only get the benefit of the tick damage (1 point) and the volge did not stun! Not even with flash grenades.

    Heavy or fast hitters are great. SAWs were a beast on the volge. VBI ARs did great because of the fire rate. Regular and Heavy Assault Carbs were also very nice. Pulsers drained life like crazy BUT ran out of ammo real fast. Rocket Launchers were actually useful against the Volge. Infectors also seemed to do surprising well. Worst weapon: BMG (both offense and defense-- the volge do too much dmg for a bmg to be worth a ****).

    Cloak and a high cap shield worked best for me. You can kinda override the 9.6 delay on a rhino by popping cloak. Good complimentary perks help cloak refresh faster. Some people had good luck with decoy.

    Melee is not the best idea (and I love to melee). Every little bump you give an elite, be prepared for a full-on *****smack in return.

    I preferred high cap shields (see above) for the Volge. I usually am a respark fan, but was not a respark fan for Volge fights.

    I'm sure I am missing more that we came up with. I will add more if I think of it.

    Oh yeah, 15% Self revive on revive other turned out to be useful in some of these emergencies. Definitely made me reevaluate the worth of that roll.

    Hmm interesting. Guess I'll have to get out my Rhino Regen IV EX for something other than the few times I run in pvp. I've always used the Resparks also. I'll try switching it up for next time.

    I normally run with a glass cannon build just to have fun out in the world but I don't think I can get away with it against the Volge unlike everything else. I might have to throw a defense perk or two on too.

    Syphon is definitely a livesaver against them. Though I've been trying to level up other stuff in them too as these Volge emergencies seem to help a lot with weapon xp as well.

    I just felt like I was getting 1 and 2 shotted way too much for a low cap. Plus the Volge's weapons are no joke at reducing your life fast. I am a fan of resparks in most situations. This was not one for me. Even with a high cap shield, I was still getting 2 shotted at times.
