Video: 7 solo Volge emergencies in 16 min

EDIT: Until Trion gets a grip, I will not contribute to the success of this game

I need to be looking for a new weapon

Then again, it seems to easy and might just ruin the game having one...

Don't confuse faster kills with easier to play. Playing with close quarters weapons and relying on syphon to outheal damage is a play style that deals a lot of damage, but is also extremely unforgiving to mistakes. Reload at the wrong time, run out of ammo, miscalculate syphon delays, underestimate how much damage you'll take, fail to stay out of melee range, miscalculate your 50% damage reduction cooldown, or anything like that will get you killed much faster than sitting behind a rock with a sniper rifle and simply missing a shot.

I normally play as you do just with a different loadout. And so, it takes more time. Sitting behind a rock aint my style...

Same. Btw I do recommend the melee ammo regen perk, as well as using a good shotgun as your backup. Ammo can sometimes be an issue with Tachmags xD

I had a Tachmag with syphon in inventory. Smacked on 4 lvl 1 mods just to check and went on Volge hunt. I made a couple of emergencies by myself in a jiff, but then someone joined and instead of the 3 trooper + 2 trooper and a bomber with a Viscera finish. It spawned another 3 trooper in the middle of it all. That made it a whole lot tougher. When the techmag was maxed out, (didn't take long) I switched to another SMG with Syphon (Think it was a FRC Nomad SMG). NOT as good, as it shoots in bursts wich makes the Volge open to counter attack.

Had to self-revive and extract a couple of times. When the Tachmag xp-reset was ready and I switched back it was a cake again. Going to scrap the mods and are now looking for good ones.

Any tip on that to look for?

Barrel that multiplies crit vs "normal dmg with aim and hip"
    Barrel that multiplies "effekt"

    Other good ones?

I paired the Tachmag with a VBI Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle with syphon. It shoots 2 bullets at a time giving 684DMG std and have a 34 mag. (If I got the numbers correct) That's a good can opener when approaching from afar in open spaces, as a couple of double taps in the face draws around 2000 DMG a pop. And if the sniper didn't finish them of as they rushed me, a fast switch to the Tachmag did the rest in a second or two.

    Note:
Should go over my perks as well. Have a mix of offensive and defensive. Going Volge hunting should be all offense. Have to figure out what shield I should go with.

    Recoil stock
    +8 falloff damage mod
    High capacity mag
    Stabilization scope

The first of these isn't all that important, but the rest are must-have. +8 falloff damage is a must have on an SMG, as the damage drops off too fast and too much to make either the crit barrel or the damage barrel even remote as good.

I've started using a tachmag with 1.25 crit and 1.15 crit against the Volge. Grinding my infector weapon skill up on them just doesn't seem to be a smart option.
