I have seen no cap on pc. Once I had more than 300 items in there. Didn't mean too, I was just not paying attention and doing lots of arkfalls, etc. As far as I know if there is a cap I haven't seen it yet... it's certainly higher than 300.

Abuse implies using it not as it was intended. Trion set it up to work as it does. If they did not want it to work this way then there should have been a limit. Sure they may do so in the future since people are just leaving claimed items in it. But it's also there because those items can be carried over to a new character.

If they do ever intend to limit the space then they should give people ample warning but then you know what will happen? People will create mule characters that they will use to store excess items. I have no idea if Trion has a limit on the number of alts you can create but well where there's a will there's a way.

What they need to do is make the inventory more usable, so that items are in individual categories and not just one long list. That alone might encourage people to buy more slots. Then they also should make the slots usable for all characters, just as other items like cars and outfits are. That also would encourage people to buy more slots and create more characters for which they'd have to buy more things.

And Trion could create an item holding area in each character's inventory-a place where new items would go where you could quickly decide to save, salvage, or sell.

And increase the default inventory slot numbers too, but only once they've fixed the inventory and salvage matrix.

But just limiting items in claim is self-defeating, since they also use it for items, if they don't fix the inventory.

The people who claim to have over 400 are liars.

I also play on xbox eu servers I am back to over 300 as I have not had the time to empty over last few days.

The cap is not 100 for xbox but i can't for certain remember if i got over 400 or not now. I suppose i could wait a few days and put it to the test for you.
All arkfall loot goes in no problem still and I got a few lock boxes last night so they go in as well. I am not sure why people think there is a lower limit on xbox when I know I have more than that.

As for abuse . I can see why you think that but I obviously disagree . To start with it is no where as handy as real inventory spaces . It takes longer to get to , you can't sort it and once it is out of claim section you can't put it back in and most importantly it doesn't allow dropped weapons from any mob to be put in there if inventory space is full.

I also have extra inventory space i bought but the way the game is designed the storage space in inadequate unless you spend a serious amount on extra space which i didn't have the finances for.

Before reset mastery you had to bin weapons when they levelled or stop levelling gun class, so you had to keep backup spares when that happened .
There is also the in built design of game that wants you to use ever type of weapon . You needed to level them all to get to max ego level . I personally thought this is a good thing but it does mean you need a lot of different types of weapons . I have tried every weapon I think available purely to see if I liked it. I have a whole stash in inventory now . Mostly purples , some orange , all in the pursuit of finding the best I can . I replace them if I find better , but you don't know if it will be better until you level it and see mastery so I have multiples of some weapons.
Add in the need for mods to be stored untill you find the right weapon to put it in.
It all ends up with me always needing more inventory space than i could afford.

Trion have made the items to claim section available and even mentioned it in a patch notes. So I use it .
I get no added advantage over any other player as they have same . It allows me no added performance boost.

The real question is, Why do you care what people use it for? It's there on purpose to hold overflow items that the game gives you but can't because your inventory is full. Also its not like we can put items in it, we can only "claim" which is EXACTLY what its purpose is for.

Yeah this is accurate. I have plenty of purchased inventory slots but I have let things drop into the claim area. It works best if it happens to be mods because the guns I might want to use them on are ones I don't yet have or don't have enough salvage to open the mod slots. I claim items that I turn into salvage (I don't have much in the claims area).

A lot of the time I leave things there simply because the way inventory works now makes it so cluttered. If Trion had not wanted us to be able to leave a lot of things in claim, they would have limited it at the get go or even when the duplicate item thing was happening (the perfect and most obvious time). Of course there obviously has to be some kind of limit-but I also believe there must eventually be a limit on the inventory slots you can have.

Is this directed at me?? because I don't care. I just want the cap number on PS3...doesn't concern me what people's personal opinion on it's use is. If this is not for me, maybe "reply with quote" at who you're directing your comments at.

They must've increased the limit recently then because 100 was the limit.

After I hit 100, rewards from major arkfalls were just lost.

I'll build it up again to see if they made any changes, but I guarantee you 100 was the cap.

I'd have fewer in my shopping cart if they'd organize them by some system like: 'Last in at the bottom', or by type, or something.

As it is, it's such a PITA to figure out whats in there regarding 'do I need this right now?' *in an efficient manner* that the stuff stacks up from inattention.
    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.
