Noticed a couple new things today?

1. Road signs that go across the road that give directions to nearby locations.

2. At the bottom, on the far right near the way too small chat bar. If you press down on the d-pad, it opens a small vertical box that has "area" as the top entry. What is this?

D-Pad down will let you toggle the type of chat you prefer to have displayed (i.e. when someone types something)

1.Area (Area chat around the player from other players)
2. Group (Group chat for those in the players group)
3. Clan (Clan chat for those in the players clan)

Anyone else notice there is no frame per second lag anymore? I was just in a giant arkfall and I had like no FPS lag I was like DUH FUDGE?

It will change if you are in a group or a clan. Otherwise, it stays on Area.

Yeah, you've missed them. They've been there since the start of the Beta.

I wonder if they will have a world chat or server chat where you can type to anyone in the server.

Don't you think that'll get a little too fast paced and crowded with hundred of people trying to communicate with each other all the at the same time? I doubt this will be a feature. Personally, I'm happy with the way things not, or rather the way things will be once everything's activated in the full game.

How do you change this? I tried everything.

its like this, say u are in a clan, or in a group at the time. when pressing the d-pad down, u will see area, clan and group turned on. keep pressing the D-pad down to switch between chats, like u only want to talk inside the clan, change it to clan, or when u are in a clan or group but you want to talk to everyone, change it to area. this way u dont need to leave a group or clan to talk to everyone.

Anyone know if the text chat is disabled in the beta or is there just nobody using it? I've tried to communicate with some randoms in area and in groups and no one ever responds.
