Still talk with a friend about TR sometimes.

Man i miss the game, had tons a laughs even with the memory leak infested places.
We would be like lets do that instance (cant remember name but its was a robo factury and outside they had flying bots). But before going tot he instance one off us would head in that area to see if the mem leak wasnt to high.
+if there was no lag and you had turret guys and immolaters(biomedic i believe) the whole base when invaded went lagtastic.

To bad how the game went down, i respect ppl respecting Garriot for his histroy making in games.
On the other hand dear lord british decided to go to space and screw the TR community. And that still makes
me get itchy toward the guy even today.

On a sidenote , i have to say that the Tabula Rasa was one off the best communities i ever have seen in
a online game.I hope this (Defiance) community has a same passion for the game and respect towards one another.

    +miss hunting for logos.
Enough nostalgia lets await april 2.

First of all this is multi-platform game. Console guys should keep this going years.. Second, MMORPG genre own alot since TR, lets hope sci-fi works this time, even I think this genre is still controlled by fantasy, Rift, GW2, and Elder Scroll Online should make sure its not gonna change in the future either. What Ive said consoles should save this game.

Like when people lined up to get to that mission objective in the first zone, since only one spawned? Ah, the good days... *stares into the distance*

TR was one of my fav games of all time (remember the tannoy guy at the main base), it when I saw the words "co-op", "MMO", "Shooter" together for the first time since TR that made me look at Defiance.

    A few differences tho

TR was a mix of pixel perfect shooter AND dice roll/stats (you had to hit the target and damage was rolled)

TR had "choke points" (forts) that had massive invasions (which were insane fun) however this had a backlash from solo players as the forts contained quest NPCs that you couldn't access if the Fort was held by the enemy.

    TR was class based

TR was a lot smaller at launch, didn't take too long before player hit cap and then they left...

But I do hope Trion might perhaps add those choke point (Forts) in game. They were insane fun and when you won you really got a sense of achievement in opening up those quests as a group effort. I can still remember clans holding the Fort open for other players (with the Tag line "Fort XXXX brought to you by <Clan name>" appearing as you got near the Fort gates

I know. I still could work, at least SWTOR brought tons of sci-if fans to the genre. Thats why I think space could be instant success as those guys wanted it so much.
