Tabula Rasa!?!

Im probably alone in this but, i find Defiance like a mix of Rift+Tabula Rasa+ Auto Assault.

Rift is obvious due to rifts spawning and using same mechanics as arkfalls etc.Tabula Rasa for dynamic events and enemy invasions, and Auto Assault for good old vehicular mayhem and fun.

Just hope it takes after the former in success rather than the two latter :/

Maybe not but it did do this kind of thing long before Trion attempted it :P Shame it failed but it just wasn't exciting enough. I got bored of it myself and ended up quitting.

Show looks alright, will have to see but there's a few questionable parts I've seen (The Turning the wheel so much is what got me the most I think)

Still talk with a friend about TR sometimes.

Man i miss the game, had tons a laughs even with the memory leak infested places.
We would be like lets do that instance (cant remember name but its was a robo factury and outside they had flying bots).But before going tot he instance one off us would head in that area to see if the mem leak wasnt to high.
+if there was no lag and you had turret guys and immolaters(biomedic i believe) the whole base when invaded went lagtastic.

To bad how the game went down, i respect ppl respecting Garriot for his histroy making in games.
On the other hand dear lord british decided to go to space and screw the TR community.And that still makes
me get itchy toward the guy even today.

On a sidenote , i have to say that the Tabula Rasa was one off the best communities i ever have seen in
a online game.I hope this (Defiance) community has a same passion for the game and respect towards one another.

+miss hunting for logos.
Enough nostalgia lets await april 2.

Ahh...those memory leaks. Good times. My group of buddies who used to play TR still yell out "TABULA RASA!!!!!!" when we get to reminiscing about MMOs past.

Auto Assault would work if they relaunched it as a BtP title with store items. That game failed thanks to them pushing the title launch back 6 months, but not pushing the advertisement back with it. Oddly enough not NCSoft's fault, they were just the publisher.

And I will never buy another NCSoft title again. (Glares at the CoH incident)

I played Tabula Rasa as well, I really miss my Spy, had so much fun with him and his blade.
The thing I remember most about Tabula Rasa, is running through a field where there were several 30 foot tall walkers, aliens with rocket launchers, and laser rifles, explosions going off, and I truly felt the environment. It was then that I knew it was a great game.

Sucks that it folded, had many good times in that game with my clan mates.
