So, let me start by saying I know there are a lot of threads out there regarding downloading patches and what not. I've done my best to search them to see if any of the state my situation, and haven't found any.

I just bought the game two days ago. I even have a brand new PS3, so unless I bought one that was messed up, that can't be the issue. I know I don't have the best internet(Frontier) in the world either, but it's the best I can where I'm at, so it's what I have to work with. I've downloaded movies and patches for other games just fine. It might take a couple of hours, but it works.

I bought the game, connected to the net, and began the initial patch download. That was two days ago. I'm downloading at about .30mbps. Every once in awhile I get signed out of the PSN, no biggie for me. It happens. And every time I go back to start the download up again, it's back to a time frame of 8 hours. Over the last 48 hours, I've sat through AT LEAST three 8 hour downloads, only to get a patch error message. When I restart it, it's back to around 8 hours for the download to complete. The download never completely finishes. The lowest it gets is to about an hour and a half, and then either PSN signs me out (my internet is still up) or I get a patch error. I've backed out and restarted, I even deleted everything once and started completely over, but nothing seems to help. My PS3 has been port forwarded and is in DMZ.

I have no idea what to do or any ideas regarding what the problem could be. So, I'm open to any suggestions. I do ask that the normal 'get better internet', 'get a different game', and other smarta** comments be kept to a minimum, please.
